Lol. This is so funny. Nadal would beat Zverev something like 6-3 6-2 6-1. Nadal got lucky getting Zverev.
Probably, but that doesn't invalidate my point. Zverev has shown a higher level in recent weeks than Nadal has. If that happens to carry through to Roland Garros (it most likely won't), things could get ugly for Nadal fast.

In their last meeting Zverev schooled Nadal 6-2 6-4. And in their last meeting on clay Zverev won a set 6-1. It is delusional to think Zverev is an easy opponent.

Ask 100 fans who is the easier 1/4 final opponent-Zverev or RBA. You are the only person who would choose Zverev.
Yeah, if I recall correctly, after dropping the first set in that Rome match, Zverev went up 6-1 3-1. That's 9 of 11 games! Nadal almost never has stretches that bad on clay. Shades of the 2012 French Open final. It's pretty clear that, despite the 1-5 tally overall, an in-form Zverev causes Nadal trouble, even on clay.

If Zverev shows up with that sketchy second serve against Nadal at RG, he is done for. The match wouldn't even be close. That's why I don't trust him.

At this point I don't consider him a tough QF opponent until he learns how to serve better.

That was just 1 match though. The others weren't even close.

To give you an example: Davydenko pushed in-form Nadal all the way at 2007 Rome, but that was their only close match on the surface. Nadal was no problem to him on clay every other time.

I think the same holds true for Zverev until further notice.

I can't believe I'm defending Zverev, of all people, but his serving in the first two sets of the USO final was exceptional. He was laying down 135 MPH's bombs, DF-ing rarely and brought heat with his second serve too. His serve collapsed in the last two sets, but he was on fire for a good hour with his serve.

That's not going to cut it against Nadal. You need more than just a fine hour to stand a chance against him at RG.

Only issue is the balls which i think are almost of Russian design. Heavy balls will suit Medvedev all day long as he will just hit ugly shot after ugly shot and wear opponents down. Potential issue for Djokovic is that slice 2nd serve of his that has been devastating will not do much on clay with a heavy ball. So if he got Medvedev that could be a 6 hour match!! With babolat balls Medevedev would be out before 4th round.
Medvedev could be dangerous in these conditions if he finds his groove early on

Sorry no version of Zverev gets more than 4 games per set off any version of Nadal on Chatrier.
