Nadal reaching at least 2 Grand Slam finals in a year in 8 years is remarkable

intriguing... I'm wondering how many of "these" Novak has, for argument sake.

'13, '12, '11 = 3 (I believe) Obviously, he's reached 1 so far in '14, which could become another such year.

Rafa reaching 2 major finals a year during 8 years is indeed remarkable and shows a high level of consistency, when he WAS 100% healthy to play. (Of course I'm referring to his injury-tendinitis hiatuses...)

Another stat I recently read on here touting Rafa was his grand slam H2H vs. the other Big 4 members: Fed, Djok, Murray:

9-2 vs. Fed
9-3 vs. Novak
8-3 vs. Murray (I think)

That's dominating, despite the clay skew.

It is weird that 11 of the 23 matches against Fed and Novak have taken placed at one Slam.

But he made at least 2 in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010,2011,2012,2013,2014. 8 years

OP is right

I think you meant to say 2008, not 2009 otherwise, fair point. I was thinking the OP meant the last 8 consecutive years.

Just another clay-skewed stat, all he had to do was make the RG final and... Oh wait... There's only 1 clay slam! How could he make 2 finals that many times?? Not bad for a dirtballer ;)
