New Asics Court FF 2

I will have to say that it’s definitely easier to slip on even 1/2 size smaller.
That is good as the first FF was a nightmare to get on and off. I sent them back right away as they obviously where not made for wider feet with a higher top of the foot

Asics has some sizes of the blue / white in stock at the moment.
Thanks! :D

But they don't ship to Canada.:(
I'm so tired of Canada being treated as a third world country. TW offers no free shipping to Canada no matter how much you buy. TWE offers no free shipping to Canada no matter how much you buy. And then there are companies refusing the right to sell to Canada, like Asics and Babolat.

Just FYI -- we would if we COULD!

I know that doesn't make it any better, but the brands place these restrictions on us and monitor it closely.

Also, back to the shoes -- I do think they are easier to slide on this round beacuse the heel and tongue come up a bit farther, making it easier to pull on.

Best,

Michelle, TW

I know it is the brand that forces these rules. Believe me I’d support another shoe company if the Asics were not so good. :)

However, TW could offer free shipping to Canada with over 200$ or 300$ purchases. What’s the worst that would happen, we would just spend more to get to that free shipping level. I spend so much in a year that’s sure I would qualify for free shipping. Maybe it is something that would be worth a look.

Many went 1/2 size down from their normal size (inc myself) when switching to Asics GR 6 and 7 from other brands, there are several threads on this subject.

I just got a pair of these. I can tell you that for my foot, and I have a normal width foot, they fit better a half size down than any gel res or other ASICS I have tried. I was always in between sizes with the 10.5 being too long and the 10 being too tight. This shoe fits in the 10, no problem. Since they fit, I decided to give them a try.

Totally agree! I tried to order Nike Vapor X's from TW the other day and the order didn't go through because apparently Nike won't ship to here. So I bought them on the bay. Actually got a better deal. Way to go, anti-Canada folks! MIGHT AS WELL BUILD A ****ING WALL BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES!!!@$#!:#(@)!

Here's hoping for a clay version this time around. I'm still surprised they never released a clay version of the first Court FF. I still have Gel Resolution 5's with the clay sole in near perfect condition because I only wear them on Har-tru. The cushioning is a bit lacking now and there's a tear in the upper, but in general, clay shoes can last much longer if used exclusively on clay. I think these FF 2's would make excellent clay shoes.

If you like this shoe, I do and I have it, you need to try the Mizuno. I liked it better in every way. I got the ASICS because The Mizuno shoe was not in my size. I will enjoy the ASICS. I can tell you they the next shoe I buy will be the Mizuno. Great cushioning and nice snug feeling. Both great shoes. Glad ASICS came out with a shoe that fits me.

Tried them 1/2 size down (like I wore in Court FF) and the fit is right (snug but not tight), but they put my weight back on my heels instead of on the balls of my feet/toes. Definitely a change from the Court FF that I don't like.

To me, it feels less comfortable and less padded, but that may just be because the Court FF is so foot-conforming that the padding is evenly snugged around your foot and heel.

But I can see/feel how stability is increased.

Agree that Mizuno is better. Just a shame they NEVER have sales.

I found that you must size down on all new Asics shoes. 1/2 a size on the Court FF should be good. I could even go 1 full size down on the Speed FF because it stretched out quite a bit after a couple of wears.

Do the playtesters ever not like anything?
"I normally use a Pure Drive with Poly, but I was really impressed with this Prince Phantom w/ Nat.Gut."
Hah while yes, we try and spin most things positively, I can let you know there definitely are products we do not like and will not recommend ;)

But, the Court FF2 is one of our favorite shoes of the year, stay tuned for our Global review next week!

Asics doesn’t like selling shoes with this terrible release. All the big spring events NOT on clay are over and clay is here and the only one with clay is Novak.

Ok, played some doubles over the weekend and just finished a singles match tonight in the new Court FF2.

Remember, YMMV:

Great shoe! Nothing drastically changed but some noticeable changes.

First, I wear size 9 and bought size 9. I had bought both 8.5 and 9 with the FF 1, but the 8.5 was a little too snug for me. I have a "normal" sized foot with a neutral setting. So same size 9 in the FF2.

I actually still have a brand new pair of the FF so was able to compare the 2 "straight out of the box".

I've never had any issues putting these things on (never needed a shoehorn or anything like that), but I can see how people can say it's difficult. The 2's seemed a tad easier to get into.

The length in the FF in the toe box was greater than the FF2.

I've learned to use the runner's loop in my shoes so never had any issues with heel slippage. Not that I had any before I used that method of tying, but I had a few instances of toe jam in the FF. Not anymore since I use the runner's loop.

The FF's seemed to be more plush with it's cushioning compared to the FF2; that's NOT to say that the 2's weren't cushioned, they are. Both are extremely comfortable for my feet.

The FF's seemed to fit my foot "glove like". The FF2 while snug seemed like they had just a little more room overall.

The biggest issue I was having with the FF was with lateral stability. Hard changes in directions and it felt like the shoe became looser. I was re-tightening my laces every chance I could.
Not so with these FF2. Could be the honeymoon period, but so far so good.

Other that some of the color choices, def an improvement over the first iteration and will now be my match day shoe of choice. Hopefully the durability is the same or better.

Interesting. I have a pretty medium width foot. In the FF, 10.5 was too long and the 10 was too tight. The 10 in the FF2 is longer than the 10 in the FF for me, no doubt about it. Has more room as well.

10.5 in most shoes....Gel Res 7s were the same for me. 10.5 Buggs Bunny, 10 felt like my feet were absolutely trapped. This FF 10 is in-between on me. I am beginning to think there is no damn normal size. I could not wear 10.5 in the nike zoom either. Long as hell. Wear 10s fine except for the tightness of the top which does not break in.

Well I like the FF2 better but that is surely because of fit. am sure I would have liked the gel res if the fit was good. Seemed to have good cushioning. I played with the 6s and sized down. I was able to do it but my knee started bothering me. Switched to T-22 lites and pain went away. Prince cushion s better. feel like the FF2 has g ood cushioning. had a par of the orgnal ff's that people liked so much. I wore them to school on a tile floor and they did not pass the test. Feet hurt. Very expensive shoe but not overwhelmed by the cushioning like everyone else was. Nike Zooms have better cushioning than either of the FFs to me. I still like the FF2 though and am interested in how they feel over time.

Knees bothered me in GR 6 and 7 - also original FFs. Had to get a cortisone shot to clear up the issue.

No problem with Nike Zoom Zero. Trying FF2 now - they feel quite similar. Very plush. Very stable.

I am beginning to think that I should try on shoes with two pairs of socks. I see the value in that for protection against blisters etc. that should change the fit if the shoes though. With one pair of socks on, 10s are good in both of these shoes. Do most of you wear one pair or two??

A lot of people swear by Elso double sock system, I love two pairs.. one thinner ankle like sock with anti slip bottom, and usually thicker one like thorlos level 3 on top of that feels great !Been wearing that in my asics court ff1 and also diadoras
