'Tis a sad day indeed when a Workhorse GHOAT is taken from its rightful home. I will guard my faithful twins even more vigilantly. Today, they rest as rainy weather cancels my daily outdoor routine...God's way of giving my boys a much deserved rest!

I felt the same sense of loss recently: my Oakley Flak Jackets that I had for 6 years went missing. I think some a-hole took them from my car, which was in my garage in my house at the time. Feels like I lost a friend, they were GSunglassesOAT! If I lost a GHOAT, I would be a sad boy indeed.

Sweat is pouring off Berdy's Carl GHOAT. It is hard to see closely on TV, but this black/white GHOAT almost looks like it is made from the Featherlite hat material on the panels on the cap part......the bill looks like the same woven fabric, but the cap part looks very slick and shiny like the Featherlite fabric.
It looks to me like it is Obsidian...I mean I have a hard time believe Nike would let him wear a black hat with obsidian on his shoes...I think his WB might be obsidian too like Federers.

If I died tomorrow and shot up to Heaven and I am asked what work on earth I'm most proud of it would be my Lou Diamond Phillips Crank Call and the tweener winner I did with 60 spectators.
Some of the Golden Eagle poetry comes close to the tweener though. But yeah. The Lou crank is epic immortal comedy from 1993. I was living in a 220 a month apartment trying to get into the crank call comedy business. I failed.

Wore my extra Workhorse to the open today, wanted to get it signed by Berdy but to no avail (probably was thinking who's the jack@$$ trying to get an auto from me when he's almost my height?.) Settled for a James Blake auto on it instead, I'm sure his dome once graced a GHOAT prototype when he was with Nike.:???:

I agree with Kim that's it's a regular GHOAT. I have 3 colors inc the black/lime and that looks shiny playing on humid days, giving the appearance of the lower quality featherlite fabric.

I swear that the super close up can't zoom-in more to see actual material.
Zoom needs a few second to reveal the actual material.
I saw slow motion zoom into his hat and 0.1-0.2 second reveal the material.
I remember similar situation with Isner at AO open and when he interviewed, the featherlight material revealed exact same as regular material.

But in Cincy and toronto he was wearing the Ringer T which is more cotton than poly. I thought that was an interesting choice.

Thanks for the info - I'm more into running shirts than tennis shirts so I didn't know about the Statement line - it seems to be a similar variation on the sublimated running shirts.
I noticed that the Statement line contains Spandex which I generally don't like for tennis - is this material in the shoulders or all over the shirt. It didn't look like a form-fit shirt.

No worries. The spandex is throughout the shirt. It's not form-fitted at all when wearing your regular size, but it is quite stretchy all over. The sleeves are also quite long on this line, but no longer than a running shirts. For me, I far prefer the feel of the added spandex over plain poly but no doubt everyone has different preferences.
Anyhow, the GHOAT had a great tourny but I think all of it's sweat wicking powers will be eliminated come Saturday. I actually GHOATED in the black/lime last night, but with zero humidity couldn't come close to slicking it up into a Featherlight-esque monstrosity. Regardless, it's currently sudsing.

It most definitely had trademark GHOAT characteristics...the four-seamed bill and the inverted-U side panels. I had sweated quite a bit in my Night Ranger one day but it never "glossed up" when wet like Berdy's...different but same???

Never doubted it was GHOAT construction, Major Tom, I just thought the fabric looked too slick to be Trend Woven, and I had never seen any player sweat through the GHOAT like Berdych did, even in the hottest weather. That's what threw me!
By the way, my "workhorse" GHOAT is the white one you sold me; I wear it more often than any. I GHOATed it all day yesterday!

Interesting observation in a local Plaza like tennis shop:
