Nole Vs Nadal at Monte Carlo could be the sperk that Nole needs to dominate once again

Oh my God seriously just stop. He is never, EVER going to dominate the sport again. His best hope is to win a few masters, and a slam tops a year. You see his in game form? How sporadic and inconsistent it is? That'll reflect his year. I suppose you stop being naive and just accept the fact. He isn't finished but he will never dominate again.

He can go hot to add 2-3 more Majors and several Masters (not this year but the entire rest of his career) but he is not as motivated and too old to go on a 2011/2015-16-like run again.

Djokovic can count his lucky stars that he's still in the tournament. He should of lost both matches. It's amazing how mediocre counter punchers can push him to the absolute limit. Big serving aggressive hitters that don't miss will beat Djokovic on a regular basis for now on.

Yes, it can. But I may reverse it and say winning it by Rafa ending his losing streak against Nole might be a spark Rafa needs to win La Decima... who knows it might work vice versa...

So they said about Federer a couple of years ago as well.

I actually think Nadal will destroy Djokovic if they meet.

This title should be his.
Which would mean the return of strong era since Rafa is the one winning, no? :)

On a serious note, I don't think there will be a blowout either way if they meet.

this is the very tournament where Nadal ended his first 7 loss streak against Djokovic back in 2012 ;)
:)

Also where Djok dethroned Nadal at 8 titles in a row in 2013

Quite the history

Wouldn't it be funny after all this if we get Schwartzman - Goffin instead?:)

Federer hasn't dominated since 2007 so I have no clue what you're on about...
Most people wrote Federer off from even winning a slam... sure you understood what I meant. Federer has been dominant this year. Something even you wouldnt have guessed

I will never EVER bit against Djokovic.

And, to OP's point: I agree. He will bring it against Nadal, if not in MC, then in Rome/Madrid/Paris.
