Novak Djokovic is 6-7 on clay vs. top-10 players since 2016...

The focus on Djoko from the ************* are off the charts. That AO win and #1 record must have threatened them. Don't worry though, Nadal will win his monte carlo title.

And take the lead to 21-18 soon ;)

It tells us that Djokovic is weaker vs. the top-10 on clay than Nadal is vs. the top-10 on HC... interesting... so Nadal is clearly stronger on HC than Djokovic on clay
where did you get this from? Data shows it’s the exact opposite.
Nadal won about 49% of his HC matches against top 10 players in his career. Novak won 57% of his clay matches against top 10 players in his career.

I do get that @weakera was being cheeky here but don't think he thought this one through. You do know that Nadal is 71-73 against the top 10 on hardcourt for his entire career right? What does that tell us?

So it has dropped less than 50% on the main tour surface against top ten players?

So Djokovic plus 50 on all three surfaces, and Nadal isn't? Lol

Yes he's less than 50% on both outdoor hard and indoor hard for his career. Djokovic is 41-31 against top 10 players on clay in case the OP was curious. :)

So the GOAT has a losing H2H against top ten players on HC, the main tour surface in his whole career?

Well, he did win USO playing no one inside the top 25 in 2017, and only one top 20 player in 2019.

How about outdoor hc? :sneaky:

How about vs. Djokovic at USO? ;)
Outdoors? He's 49-50 which isn't much better. Lol. You walked right into this one.

How about it? :notworthy:
lol that’s some self-ownage right there

Yes he does. I may create a thread on this since the OP brought up this topic. You know who else has losing records against top 10 players on hardcourt? Guys who only won 1 or 2 hardcourt Slams in their career. None of them won more than 2 except Nadal which is kind of interesting, don't you think?

Well you pretty much nailed it right here.

But I thought the clay competition was weaker? So is it really as impressive?

how many top 10 players did he defeated en route to Rome 2020?
and en-route to Western & Southern 2020?

None in Rome, which is the whole point, the top ten couldn't even get to him to stop him. Take what you can if the competition is that bad.

I do believe Djokovic beat Baustista Agut in the semis of Cincy and he was ranked number 8.

4 top ten players didn't play in Rome 2020, and Novak couldn't play himself
so it was more like a Mickey Mouse tournament from day 1
and then none of them made it to Novak

Rome 2020 seeds
seed #1 Djokovic, ranked #1
seed #2 Nadal, ranked #2
seed #3 Tsitsipas, ranked #6
seed #4 Berrettini, ranked #8
seed #5 Monfils, ranked #9
seed #6 Goffin, ranked #10

first top 10 player that Novak could have potentially play was Monfils, who lost in R2.
second top 10 player that Novak could have potentially play was Berrettini, who lost in QF
third top 10 player that Novak could have potentially play was Nadal, who list in QF
