Was watching the Sandlot... I couldn't resist

[Grigor Narrating] Even though Fed loved weak competition, he was still plenty mad about us next-gen not winning more... ruining his Slam Records.

So I didn't feel too bad when he beat me 10 times straight.. instead of the rest of my life.

Wow! Things worked out between me and him. And from then on, I didn't have any trouble...

just calling him Dad all the time.

We all played together on the tour for a couple of more years--

mostly losing-- and every summer was great.

But none of them ever came close to that first next-gen group.

When one guy would move away we never replaced him on the team with anyone else.

We just kept the game going like he was still there.

[ Grigor Narrating ] It was weird that Fed said... Grigor was like the Next-gen of tennis, and his eras name ended up being Next generation.

None of us could figure out what that meant, but we were all amazed by it.

I kept in touch with those guys over the years.

I found out that Delpos dad stole tons of money from him. After the tour, he became one of the pioneering developers of iBandAid, the company that heals all injuries.

Of course, we all know why.

Thiem, well-- Thiem got really into the AI movement, and no one ever saw him again.

Milos and Kei became an architect and a contractor for Nintendo. They started out small, designing Mario levels and prefabricated tree houses.

But they became multimillionaires... when they invented Top Spin 5.

Tomic grew up and married Taylor Swift. They have nine kids. They bought Australian Tennis, and they still own it to this day.

Schwartzman became a professional impersonator... You know him as Carlos Alcaraz stunt double.

Goffin played some majors, but he never got to the finals. He owns his own business now, and he coaches Djokers sons...

The name of his coaching company is The Clay Tarps. He still wears an eye patch to this day.

Chung lived to be 6 years old- uh, in tennis years.

I was the last one to move away. But when I did, the tour was still there.

The first NexGen comp involved Chung(the winner), Rublev, Medvedev, Coric, Shapo, etc. Most of those guys are now in the top 20.
