Hey! That’s my racket!

I have lead tape on the hoop, silicone in the handle, and a leather grip. It’s strung at 55/52LBS with grapplesnake tour sniper. What’s your setup?
Nice. Mine are 330g-333g with overgrip and dampeners, strung with ALU at 50. SW between 330 and 337. Leather grips on all. Will be matching them all up. Great sticks

Got these beauties back in the mail today. These will absolutely pop in the indoor courts lights of my facility. Immaculate paint. Just hope the gloss survives a bit of rough play.

I'm going to throw some white Wilson Pro overgrips on them and string them up with some orange Cyclone I have left, see how they look. Good thing about predominantly black; everything goes.

Who did these for you? I assume you are from the States? I want to get another one of my ‘16 PA and do the same.

Yea those are siiiiiiiick! I saw he posted them on his IG story. He does a great job. My Ultras and my blacked out Clash pop under the lights at night and no one knows what I am playing with . I bought some gloss black scratch repair automotive paint just in case.

Did someone custom paint these? And is it someone I might be able to do business with myself?

Yep they were custom painted by CTR in Del Ray Beach, Florida. For those that are interested send him an email with what you want paint wise and he will send you a price list (single color, two color etc) and when send you a rendering of what you want.

I figured. I remember I messaged them not long ago. I need to go back and check those messages again. Thanks for the info!

Where are you sending your racquets to get them painted different from what they originally were?

I want to know how much and from where as well please.
Hi guys,

Sorry I just got time to check the thread. Yes as @MRfStop and @longtimelurker pointed out, it is Custom Tennis Racquet in Delray Beach. I deal with Curtis, great guy and does good work. If you reach out to him, he will get back to you regarding the price. His prices vary from job to job and how much colors/graphics etc.

@David Le
These two were just a tad north of $200.

Single color runs $80 per racquet, you have to provide a set of grommets per racquet and he includes free stringing if you supply strings.

Just a replug: these were couple of my 2001 Pure Control Swirlys I had done in matte black a few years ago. Beastly racquets. They off course do not pop as much as gloss. But look very clean too.

These were single color. The APD above in the other post had additional colors hence they ran more. And then you have graphics price added (or any inscription in throat etc) on top offcourse. But yeah, petty satisfied overall. I just have to remember to stock back up on my grommets! Running low at the moment since I string often and go through them fast.

My Ultras were around $96 a piece and my Clash was just over $100. The Clash had three colors (Black, White, and the triangle red) and the Ultras are just black and white. The black gloss does smudge when balls hit the frame. I am very happy with Curtis' work. I think buying a structurally sound racquet with beat up paint for cheap and sending it to Curtis to repaint is the way to go.

Dug this out of the closet. The white paint hasn't aged too bad considering everything else. Who remembers this?

Spec-wise it was a bit of a departure from its forefathers (at least as far as weight), but the TT Warrior hit a sweet ball.

They were $70 on TW for ages.

Was there a reissue of this? Because they didn't last long on TW I remember. I got this one for $139.99 in early 2002 and by Jan 2003 the MP was gone and OS was on sale on its way out on TW. Also purchased a TT Rebel along with this one and I liked that one more honestly. It had a 95 sq inch head, 19mm constant beam and 18x20 pattern, very player specs. Hit a very sweet ball too. I cracked that one near the bridge within a year unfortunately, slipped out of my hand serving.

Not to my knowledge. My roommate bought two in 2009 new.

Thanks. Yeah I see. Must have been restocked then because the frame was cleearly selling for a long long time even after I purchased it in 2002. I never paid attention to it so much and probably moved on to something else.

Yours is in great shape. The white rubbery coating attracted a lot of dirt. I wish they had been glossy but none of the TT line was.
