Where are you located?
Pittsburgh. Bless your heart for asking. I have been getting out and practicing. I've also been very, very busy. Since last update:
3 singles wins for USTA team (we are in the playoffs, baby!)
1-1 in singles in local tournament (college players should find somewhere else to play ...)
2 wins in my doubles league (including the take-down of the last undefeated team in our division)
2 losses in my city women's league (but hopeful improvements seen with my partner)
3 wins in local tournament in mixed doubles. The final is today, if it doesn't rain! (My partner and I beat a former D-1 college player in the semis!)
So, let's do the math: That leaves me at 20-6.
20-7. Damn.
Went 1-1 over the weekend, but it was enough for my league team to advance to regionals. Woo!!
21-8.
^^haha dun worry, we're all family here. glad ur doing good
Since 5-27-08
Ultimate Tennis Won my division(again) at 4.0- record 5-2
lost in 3 after being up 6-1, 5-3....drank too much the night before. and lost 3-4 to a dqed guy(i finished 2nd to him but was awarded the division).........5-2
Alta mixed B1....3-1
T2.....1-1
USTA 3.5....3-1 2 regular season (2-0)and 2 in Sectionals (1-1)
.........4.0....1-2
recap Ultimate.................5-2
Alta...............................3-1
T2.................................1-1
USTA.............................4-3
Total since 5-27..............13-7
total for the year.............36-30
All in all a good year so far..I have really stepped up my level of comp....Going from 3.5- to 3.5 to 4.0- in Ultimate....Stepping up to 4.0 in USTA(even though I'm still rated 3.5). playing T2 at 4.0 and Alta is what it is.
My goals for the year are to win over 65% while continuing to play against better comp. My improvement has been immense just by player better players. If I play another 34 matches, which should be a cinch, I would have to win 29 of those 34 to reach my goal. thats 1 loss per month...I think I can do that.
Lost my singles this week, but won another mixed tourney with my husband, and finished out my doubles league season with a win. Now:
24-9.
