Rafa tells reporter it is time for Spanish interviews after being asked ridiculous questions about his wife.

I dig this. Never see Rafa riled up. Hope I can find the video. Like seeing Rafa defend his girl.

The sad thing is that his responce to that question is exactly what the journalist wants for a story. God reporters suck, good on Nadal tho.

It not like Nadal is in his mid 30's and is slowing down + off days.

This is the year where Fedalovic looked vulnerable in parts of the season. (Especially Federer)

Well, it would have been a lot better if he had literally told the idiot to shut the fork up, but it's a start. Those predator-journalists make maggots look like noble creatures.

The hand movements to the face while constructing the reply tells the truth

Notice the strong nasal exhale (mic did before his explicitive) when the crowd sided with him in the bullying of a reporter

"you were playing many short pts tonight" = calling him out for hoping to get a pigeon instead of the defending champ in the first round

Could break this down forever, rafa is so simple

"Not too bad" man has a habit of asking stupid questions, he’s not a very good journalist.

I don't know why the veteran Italian reporter ("Not Too Bad" guy, forget his name) would ask a question like this, and at the end of a media session when Rafa was being (typically) candid and somewhat introspective. I think that Rafa - who has known the reporter for a long time - was surprised and hurt that he would "go there".

Fed devotee, you are yet again trying to cheat TTW readers! You are purposely misinterpreting the journalist's question!

There is no connection between the crap-story you produced and the journalist's question:

Every pressconference I see of these guys the Italian reporter always has an essay question and everytime it's horrendous.

Watching the video you can tell Rafa is seriously angry and holding himself in check a little bit.

I don't blame Rafa either for shutting down this line of questioning or any attempt to insert/imply negativity in his marriage, particularly right after a tough loss.

Rafa shut down the English-language press conference.
Rafa: “...We move to Spanish [-language press conference], because that’s bulls***. Thank you very much.”

I'm 100% behind Rafa in this and only wish he could have said more. I'll tell you how I would handle someone like that.

I would say, "Excuse me. What is your name?"

I'd wait for an answer. Then I'd address that person.

"Because of your unbelievably rude and stupid question I will never answer a question from you again. Now, who else here can ask me a civil question, unlike this person who has the manners of a pig?"

Rafa knows this Italian journalist (Ubaldo Scanagatta) very well. He fell asleep at Rafa's press conference in January. Asking questions about Rafa's love life this Monday was obviously more interesting to him.

I don't blame Rafa for snapping. Though I don't think the reporter was particularly rude for asking that, because in the past we've read interviews where Federer and Djokovic after their marriage (and twins for Rog) said they definitely felt less motivated for a short while, so I'd consider it a somewhat fair question.
He didn't seem to reply rudely at all to Rafa snapping at him either and just stayed quiet.

Nadal: “OK. I am surprised. Is a big surprise for me you ask me this after I have been with the same girl for 15 years and having a very stable and normal life. Doesn’t matter if you put a ring on your finger or not

_____________

So Nadal agrees that the marriage was NOT A BIG DEAL. It's crazy that a lot of Nadal fans were making it out as the "WEDDING OF THE CENTURY" and the most significant event in the history of time.

No, Djoko fanatic, Rafa replied to the Italian journalist (who has known Rafa for a long time!) that putting the wedding ring on a finger didn't change his love life - it has been stable for years. His answer had nothing to do with the fact that Spain's media was talking about his wedding on a daily basis for 10 months (before & during & after the wedding day).

Just seen the you tube clip and loved it. Great to see Rafa like that, gives a very good insight and of course it was completely justified. Is that the first time he''s sworn in English at a press conference?

It's always that old Italian fart that asks stupid sh1t, Ubaldo, or whatever his name is. Supposedly he's demanding an apology from Rafa lol, saying he disrespected him.
