Rafael Nadal is the Cult of Personality.

Love him or hate him, he is the GOAT of all TTW threads no?

Like Mussolini and Kennedy
Like Joseph Stalin and Ghandi, he's the cult of personality.

To sum up: Rafa is epic

Really cute dogs. Reminds me of one I had when I was a kid.

I used watch this program called The Littlest Hobo. Fell in love with dogs.

Funny enough, I ended up with white Persian cat. :)
I ended up with a white cat too! But she is not Persian. She is a mix of Maine coon and Norwegian forest cat.
But I love dogs maybe more, but its not practically possible for me now.

Rafa would never be sued by his best friend though. CM Punk has fallen a lot in my eyes after that. Still havent heard his side of the story..yet.

My cat is good, its a boy. :)

I named him Gochi, as a tribute to Dragon Ball Z, combining the name of the protangonist Goku and his wife Chi-Chi.

... so how about his appetite ? :p

Hehe

He eats his special Persian cat food. It's dry food, so he just eats a bit, goes off to do his thing, comes back, eats a bit more, then goes off again... :D

Like all cults, the object of adoration is insignificant compared to the emotion invested in it.

Fanboyton's law of universal adoration states that every tennis idol attracts every fanboy in the universe with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their emotion and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their messageboards.

"A cult of personality arises when a country's regime – or, more rarely, an individual politician – uses the techniques of mass media, propaganda, the big lie, spectacle, the arts, patriotism, and government-organized demonstrations and rallies to create an idealized, heroic, and worshipful image of a leader, often through unquestioning flattery and praise."

By this definition, Nadal does indeed have a kind of cult of personality, as does Federer.

Are you suggesting that nadal is the only person that you have ever seen talking to his team during a match? If that is the case then you must watch with blinkers on and we all know that even though Nadal is the one who is focused on with regard to slow play, he is by no means the only one. I have seen Mirksa standing up and shouting "get down the court", to Roger. I know she isn't his coach, but she was a professional tennis player and she is part of his team.

This is what Petzschner said after the match,
PHILIPP PETZSCHNER: No, I just heard words, but it could have been "vamos" or whatever. It's anyway tough to hear if you're down on the court, because the whole arena is pretty loud.
So I don't know why he gave the warning for or if it was coaching or not. I have absolutely in idea. I can just tell if you are down there, you almost understand nothing from up there, even if they are screaming at you.
I think there was no coaching involved. That's what I think.

Raonic smartly protects himself from this by having no personality
