Rafael Nadal stormed into the second round of the US Open on Tuesday night before revealing he had offered Andy Murray use of his boat while the former world No. 1 is competing at a Challenger event held at his academy. The world No. 2 eased past John Millman with a 6-3 6-2 6-2 win under the lights on the Arthur Ashe Stadium to set up a tie with another Australian in the form of Thanasi Kokkinakis. While Nadal chases a fourth US Open title in New York, three-time Grand Slam winner Murray is taking part in the Rafa Nadal Open in Mallorca. Murray defeated third seed Norbert Gombos to record his second win on his comeback from a hip resurfacing operation on Tuesday but will enjoy Wednesday off with his next match against Italy’s Matteo Viola not taking place until Thursday.

Murray as a junior used to train on the clay courts of spain. Seems he is getting back to his roots. Also Andy is good friends with Andre and well we know andre went back to his roots on the challenger circuit.

Didn't know he was a friend of Andre as well?

If Andy wanted to play the U.S. Open would he have been given a wild card entry?
The Challengers are not necessarily that much easier than the Open, especially with all the seeds dropping out in the first rounds.
And guys like Nagal and other nobodies playing. Andy could have won a few rounds with a lucky draw.
