Got it from a charity auction, same as the K90s.
I would like to point out that that is the weight without the strings, and that strings would add on about 20 grams (I took this info from the specs on TW. When weighing TW adds 20g to the unstrung weight to get to the strung weight)
With this info, we could conclude that Federer doesn't add much lead tape, because the wilson pro overgrip would also add about 5g.
I am not 100% sure but that is what it would seem to be.
TW also lists the retail racquet with strung weight at 12.5oz / 354.37g. this would mean +5g from overgrip and then about 5g of lead.
Do you think people on here are stupid?
You cant have a 364g K61 racquet without a lead
You must not be familiar with Wilson's poor quality control. Every K90 I've weighed came in at 364g or higher with just an overgrip and a tiny "O' dampener but no lead. You cant have a 364g K61 racquet without a lead

umm no? There was a discussion before about the amount of lead he puts on the racquet and there were several pictures of a similar racquet with lead tape placed all over the head. With what I just explained it could be deducted that he doesn't use lead.
If we take a stock K90 that comes on "on-spec" we have (unstrung):
Static weight: 340 grams
Balance: 30.5 cm
Swingweight: ~308 (this is derived from TW's 6-frame average, minus the ~15 gram stringjob they put into their demo/playtesting frames)
We then add 16g Natural gut mains and 16L Alu Rough crosses, which weigh about 17 grams in a mid (including his 10 string savers). The center of the stringbed is 21" inches from the butt, and using the TW University Customization Worksheet (http://twu.tennis-warehouse.com/lear...ionReverse.php) we can add that string weight and get:
Static weight: 357 grams
Balance: 31.6 cm
Swingweight: ~339
Then we add the 4 gram overgrip:
Static weight: 361 grams
Balance: 31.35 cm
Swingweight: ~339
Then we add the 3-5 grams at 12 o'clock that P1 puts under the bumpers to match the frames and reach Fed's target swingweight (lets do 4 grams):
Static weight: 365 grams
Balance: 31.7 cm
Swingweight: ~352.5
So we're very close to the 364 grams FabFed has reported, and also very close the the 354 swingweight that Art Art has reported. Our modded K90 is slightly more headlight than the 32.1 cm you reported. But that can easily be explained by the custom handle and custom leather added by P1. If those two things are slightly lighter than the stock equivlents, P1 could get to 364 grams by adding several grams at the top of the grip, which would raise the balance by several millimeters (weight at the top of the grip moves the balance down less than the same amount in the middle of the grip). Alternately, the frames chosen for Fed could be a bit less headlight than Wilson's target spec for the K90 (30.5 cm unstrung). (Actually, most K90s are several millimeters less headlight than that target spec.)
I think Greg Raven's Fed K90 lacks the lead at 12 o'clock that P1 adds (thus, the 338 swingweight, rather than 350+). Raven's frame came from the Wilson War Room, not from P1, so it probably doesn't have P1's custom handle or leather either.

(BTW, most modern racquets can have a high swingweight and a short (headlight) balance. You just add weight to the butt, polarizing it. The K90 is moderately polarized in stock form. This is done with the lead bars Wilson places inside the butt of K90s, about a half inch from the end of the handle; dig through the foam a bit and you'll find them. For example, If we put 34 grams in the butt of Rafa's racquet (350 swingweight) to match Fed's 364 gram static weight, his APDGT would balance at 30cm (14HL)!)
I think Greg Raven's Fed K90 lacks the lead at 12 o'clock that P1 adds (thus, the 338 swingweight, rather than 350+). Raven's frame came from the Wilson War Room, not from P1, so it probably doesn't have P1's custom handle or leather either.
Roger's string savers are made of Karophite Krystals(tm) so they're heavier.
I have a BLX 90. After adding 8g. of weight, Pro Wilson overgrip and an "O" dampener the weight is 372g. So it should be 364g. without any weights. I don't know about other BLX's as I only have 1 right now.You must not be familiar with Wilson's poor quality control. Maybe you just have a slightly heavier BLX90 than the specification due to the poor Wilson QC. Just because they are the same weight, doesn't mean they are the same balance. So it would be easier for Roger to get some under spec weight and customise it up to his desired balance and weight.
Racquet Mass Bal. cm RDC Flex Swgwt
Roger's 360.5 31.6 65 330
okay so this is roger's nsix one tour's spec from greg raven's site, can we conclude that when he was using the the paint job of the nsix one that he was still using a type of polarization method on his frame? and is there any time he didn't?
It appears from everything that I've read that Greg Raven's Fed racquet came from the Wilson War Room and not Priority One. Therefore it probably did not have the 3-4 grams of lead that P1 adds to the head. The poster ArtArt has reported that Fed's swingweight is around 353. We can see from pictures that P1 adds about 3-4 grams to his frames. If they are more or less the retail K90s, as most assume, with that lead at 12 the swingweight would indeed be about 350. Hopefully Fabfed can come through with 1) determining the swingweights of his Fed sticks, and 2) peeking under the bumpers for P1's leadtape to make sure it's there. If Fabfed does this with two or more of his sticks then the Fed spec mystery will be solved and put to bed at long last.
I've also not seen anything to suggest that Fed has changed his setup since the N90 days. So, if you think his current setup is polarized, then his N90s were too.
Just to be clear, this is not my racquet, it belongs to a friend. It was used by Federer at the O2 in November last year apparently!
He hasn't measured the weight, but the balance measured was 32.1cm
And are these yours knots RJYU? LOL
hey jimbo, can you confirm which natural gut federer is using? babolat vs or wilson natural gut?
thanks
It says "Made in France" on it, I doubt that Wilson has moved its operations to France...
i just need maestro fabfed to confirm that.
thanks for your input though.
You have eye problems, or...
Look at the picture above, clearly says "...in France" on the mains...
where is wilson natural gut made?
I thought Wilson gut was made by Babolat (in France) under license??
can anybody confirm or deny?
I think that's true. I think Tecnifibre makes some of their multis as well.
Wilson don't really make much of anything themselves.
They just put the big "W" on the products and a nice Federer picture next to them on the marketing material ).

Isn't Wilson gut just re-branded Bab anyway?
FabFed you are the man! I'm sorry if this has been asked before, and please no troll answers, I don't want to re-read this whole thread, but where does Federer put his lead? How much?? Is it 3-5 grams at 12 o'clock and 3-5 grams on the but cap to counterbalance?? Thanks guys!
I think people want you to put in a little effort and find out for yourself.
In the day between your posts, you surely would have found the answer.

we've said that priority one adds from 3 to 5 grams of lead under the bumper to match roger frames...but does the different amount of lead change the swingweight????...in this way roger would have a different swingweight on every racket
No, Priority One puts different amounts of lead, which appears to be between 3 and 5 grams for two reasons:
1) To bring the frames to his target swingweight, which seems to be about 350 (although this is uncomfirmed).
2) To match the frames. So some frames need 3 grams to reach ~350 swingweight, some need 4, others need 5.
in this way the weight of each racquet would be different.tell me if i'm wrong
thanks in advance

Are you sure about this? I'm sure you have seen all of the lead tape placed at 12 oclock on the P1 photos. With all of that lead, couldn't that possibly be the Asian K90?
Given Feds muscle mass I don't think he could get the racquet head speed he does with the US K90 and lead at 12 oclock.
Do you know where I can get the AK BLX90 or the AK 90? Isn't that the closest racquet to the PS85?
