Roger's Cup

I'm a Montrealer and would like to see some action at the Roger's cup this summer. The schedule is kind of confusing since you have no idea who is playing and when (which makes sense cause of the qualifiers and all that).

So I was wondering if anyone who knows what their doing can suggest to me a day to go that isn't as expensive as a final or semi-final. But, where I will still get a chance to see some great players (Hopefully Federer or Nadal). Thanks in advance for the help.

You won't know anything until the draw comes out. Order of play is at the discretion of the tournament director. The only thing certain is that the tournament starts on August 5th and ends August 12th. Both Nadal & Federer are scheduled to appear. You should probably buy your tickets now.

Yeah, so I am going to the first round most likely. I can go Monday
August 6th morning or night, or Tuesday August 7th morning or night.

My question is do the players who qualified higher play later in the first round or earlier in the first round?

Guess what? The top 8 seeds get a first round bye. What a piece of crap! http://www.rogerscupmen.com/3/en/news/2007/liste2007.asp

It's new this year, I bought tickets for Monday and Tuesday a few days ago, but now that I read that I will miss out on watching Federer, Nadal, Gonzalez, Gasquet(?) UGH! I need to get a refund.. Better buy tickets for Wednesday, all day though, you'll see all the greats!

know what, the best tennis you will see for the cheapest price is during qualifying on saturday and sunday and the first round on monday. stick to the outer courts where you are close to the action and you can't go wrong. even tuesday is OK on the outside courts.

once you get to wednesday most of the good matches are on centre court and are on TV anyway.

BTW, the good thing about the centre court at MO is the overpass on the second level that connects the players lounge and centre court. hang out there and you can get tons of autographs.
