Djokovic' overhead smashWhat is the single most beautiful swing by a player in tennis history?
My vote goes to either Federer's serve or Wawrinka's backhand. The Fed FH and Karlovic serve are close contenders too.
Mecir BH and McEnroe volley from the old days were also beautiful shots.
Ah yes, the legendary Wawrinka hack. Can it even be called a swing?Djokovic' overhead smash
Federer's Return on breakpoint off 2nd serve
Nadal's Forehand, 2015 in particular
Wawrinka's return
I doubt so.Ah yes, the legendary Wawrinka hack. Can it even be called a swing?
Almagro's backhand.Gasquet's backhand.
Peak Federer inside out FH on a medium fast HC
...on a Saturday afternoon when the weather is between 73 and 78 degrees (F).Peak Federer inside out FH on a medium fast HC
Actually it looks amazing on clay too. Not so much on grass.lmao

does peak Fed’s inside out FH look worse on other courts?
It's actually neither. Consistency matters.Wawrinka's BH is better than Federer's BH, but it's not more beautiful.

special mentions:Djokovic' overhead smash
Federer's Return on breakpoint off 2nd serve
Nadal's Forehand, 2015 in particular
Wawrinka's return
As overall rallies, the first one was better. We're talking just shots and Federer has the advantage of the pretty one-handed backhand.Great shot but not nearly as aesthetic, short rally, etc
I remember this poetry in motion! The granny-getter
Is this a serious question?
Pistol Pete serve without a doubt. Pure artistry..
2nd in line: Fed Fearhand
....Federer serve which is in my opinion the most fluid and aesthetic serving motion I've ever seen.
And what would Nole be offering in this department? What is the single most beautiful swing by a player in tennis history?
My vote goes to either Federer's serve or Wawrinka's backhand. The Fed FH and Karlovic serve are close contenders too.
Mecir BH and McEnroe volley from the old days were also beautiful shots.
Too obvious.Sureshs drop volley.
Agreed. If I had to pick though it would be his inside-out forehand or his serve.Really, most of Fed's shots are contenders. One of my faves is his backhand overhead - quick, fluid and deadly.
