I was about to write a thread on this. I thought Dom played tremendous in the QF. He has all the tools to win RG this year IMO.

I really do feel he will beat Djokovic today.

I agree though, don't think the hype is warranted this time. Djoko-Thiem definitely has more upset potential even if I do expect Novak to take care of business.

One of the main reason I fully expect Novak to win is because he has been very dominant on his serve (like in Madrid this year). Thiem's not the best returner in the world.

I would not be surprised if Dominic wins but I definitely do not expect it. Because until Dominic wins a match like this, I will have a "I'll believe it when I see it" approach to his tennis breakthrough.

This would be my main concern as well. Particularly when Djokovic is so, so good at playing big points.

I like the thread idea, though. We know Thiem has the potential to do it.

Djokovic has 3 GS right now in a row and 15 GS total. Thiem has 0. If Thiem wins it will be a surprise for sure. Novak knows how to play hard matches. He already beat Thiem here. Some people think Thiem has a chance as he beat Khacanov. Yes, he has. But don't underestimate Novak and his abilities to play well when it really matters. His results so far speak for itself. Thank you.

Djokovic is a master at defense but it's gotta hurt to deflect incoming artillery like this for hours on end.

If Thiem can sustain his aggression and keep the ball in play I think he has a good chance to muscle his way through.

Weather seems to favor Djokovic though so perhaps some of the power is mitigated.

But I don't see him beating Nadal...He can't beat him(at least now) in a 5 set format

For Nadal not to win the trophy, only one man has to be there across the net and that's Djokovic. Only he can beat Rafa here on PC now
