Be glad you were playing, the wookie's wheels are still under repair. Seeing the Xis and JRK recommended ortho Thursday.

I can walk, but running right now is out of the question.

CB- Hit me up for lunch wed.

Good luck, buddy. You will like that doc, and he will understand your tennis addiction.

I asked for the same guy but I was told he only does knees, shoulders, and tennis elbow. They handed me off to someone else in the practice. But I'm assuming I'll still get quality care.

Let's talk about it. Really want a extended length/ Head Size of 105/ Stiffness of > 68. Kinda like a arm friendly PDR.

First racquet that came to mind was the Volkl V1 OS, but that is a 66 stiffness and a 110.

My father uses the Dunlop Biomimetic 600 Lite (Cibulkova racquet), and he loves it. He used to use the PD 110. It's 105, stiffness of 69 and extended, but only by 1/4".

the V1 is a great option i agree. have you tried it? its super comfy. i hit with it with all alu power and no harshness at all

Sup, I'm surprised to hear that! S was pretty competitive and and aggressive when I played with her.

My successful partnerships have been when we played as a *team*. Not being parked at net while my partner tries to 'hero' it all out. Also constant communication, sometimes after every point, so we at least had a plan.

Haha yeah, I think I strung up your V1 OS for Auzzie a few summers ago. Seemed like a nice frame and Auzzie liked it very much during his honeymoon...

cb, also the V1 Classic MP (102 sq in & 69 flex) is really nice hitting too. I have one that's almost brand new. Silver version...

Close...that was the Boris Becker version of the V1, and it was my wife's racquet. I hit with it once & I think the ball is still in orbit somewhere...

thanks. Got used to a semi-extended (27.25 or 27.5) racquet. Nowadays, 27 racquets throws off my timing.

Its hard to find a used Ki15 or Q15. Can't believe it costs ~$30 from Europe to the US. Unforunately only the Q15 (300g) is only available in Europe. =(

Good lunch with CB -

CB, my leg is still under repair, but when the wheels are good we'll figure a time to hit.

Also, P-man sighting. Apparently he was educating one of his minions over lunch. Paulman, you downtown now days?

is anyone hitting in this crazy heat?

I did last night with my boy, DC. Hot and humid as he||! Oh BTW, apparently Manny, is still RA's court monitor...ran into him when I hit on Sunday evening.

I do not believe this story as there is no mention of lesbians anywhere.

Since I mentioned 2 different women partners and like 77.57% of female tennis are lesbian I thought it was implied there were lesbians involved.

Thats terrible strategy. Never works. The proper strategy is for the Woman to camp on an alley and avoid the ball at all costs. Then if its hit to her verify the male can make a play and only if he cannot they are free to hit the ball back. And if they decide to hit it back they have to hit it at the female at all times.

As for the dude he should simpy drill it at the chics face with mass amounts of spin at all times. The only time the other dude should touch the ball is when he is returning serve. You can also hit it att he guy on over heads but only if you can blast 100+mph and possibly hit him inthe face and/or crotch to take him out of the game.

Thats how you win at all costs. Follow those rules and it will be titles galore.

DATS TENNIS UPDATE:
i rested my wrist for a month and finally got back out on court even though my lower back got tweaked somehow.
before i went out on court, i restrung my wilson blx pro tours with my old string of choice, tec black code 17 @55lbs.

it was epic. i was blasting forehands everywhere i wanted. my backhand timing was off a bit so i just spun them back in play for the most part but toward the end of the match i was feeling more confident and started Jankovicing them down the line for winners too!

my wrist was hurting right while i was playing an extra 3rd set... so i think i can only play once every 10days or so and should bring fresh strings on court every time. but it was awesome to be cracking winners again.
it was almost as epic as when monkeydats played dubs against strikerpman!

p.s. - i hung my 60" plasma over my brick fireplace with a $20 mount. the mount is bending slightly from the 80+lb weight but i guess it'll hold. EEEPS!

p.s.s. - i bought a cart for my alpha 4000 stringer cuz the boss is tired of seeing it in middle of living room. for $60 this seems like it will be perfect!
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Seville-Classics-3-Shelf-Commercial-Utility-Cart/24520570

p.s.s.s. - it was too damn hot so i totally shaved my head. baby cried when she saw me.. so i guess it isnt my best look! but it was free and low maintenance!

l8r farkers! hope all is well with you jokers!

If we mentioned another type of grass.. I bet Gulbis would be a multiple Grass slam champion.

LOl.

just watched 20 minutes of the match last night. When did Ernie overhauled his forehand??? It's such a weird motion now? He had such a nice forehand before.
Looks like throwback to Stefen Edberg's FH.

The vulture forehand!

It was being discussed as early as January, 2013:
and seems to have happened sometime in 2012.

definitely bird like. How does he put so much pace with that motion? Major wrist motion.

gulbr16018m.jpg

I have flown in to peck the match away.... muhahaha.....

On the topic of corn, what's for lunch today?

it's not exactly the best looking stroke i've ever seen but it seems to work for him. it just looks so awkward though. i'd change to the flying eagle forehand if i thought it would vastly improve my terrible shot.

what's for lunch people?

sappy -- i know you rank granville's as the best fries in the area. but i have folks telling me there is this greek restaurant that has amazing fries. but i am dubious. do you have a ranking of the best fries in the area?

just got a reel of gosen polylon 17

excited to string it up. i've used sets of it before and enjoyed it and now i'm going to find my ideal tension in a polylon M/OGSM C hybrid

?

The vulture forehand looks unorthdox, but so did Nadal's. Food for thought.

My answer to what is for lunch: Irish food. Bangers and mash. However.. with Wimbledon playing.. I may opt for Fish and Chips.

I've been enjoying a beer called : UFO.

tc - how does polylon compare to say tour bite (currently using 17g regular and soft versions) or rpm blast (17g)?

at $45 a reel - if polylon has even 75% or more of the performance of those other strings, that's a great deal.

sup -- i've had UFO before. i remember it being decent but not memorable. but you are having fish and chips -- my beer of choice for the past year has been newcastle brown.

What do you about a problem like "S".. Maria? [Sound of music refernce].

So I'm set to play with her this Monday. I'm going to use the australian formation. I'm going to put her on the duece side. Also will opt to receive if I win the serve, thinking if she serves last and we are up a break or 2.. the pressure won't get her as much.

I think maybe mixed wasn't a bright idea. I'm not very good in doubles.. and I've had bad luck with mixed. It's a challenge. Kind of like not drinking before a match - where's my klondite bar!?lol

Newcastle is awesome. great choice. however the beer has too much sugar for me. I can have only 1 - 2 and start getting a headache. Having 1 or 2 defeats the purpose of having drinks for me.

Heard from the boards here that Fed tried to hit a shot to decapitate Stakhovsky yesterday? Anyone got a clip of that? Won't believe it till i see it.

the only polys i have really used are lux bb 16L and tourna bh blue 17

the polylon definitely hits well.. and in the 43-48 LB tension range I find it pretty comfortable.

are you in the area? i could cut off a racquet's worth for you.

thanks for the offer tc. i looked it up on tw -- it's $3.50 a package. i think i can buy a package or two and it'll pass by my wife's frivolous spending alarm.

i'm in mont co if you ever wanna hit. have you hit with any of the twmac folks yet?

Nope, I'd like to!

Unless we've randomly run into each other at my home courts (hardy rec, palisades rec, or gw mt vernon). I hit occasionally at rose park, fort reno, and those courts on 23rd and N (no idea what they're called).

I don't have a car but I live in the palisades near a bunch of courts.

Got me a used PK Ki15 PSE. woowhoo..
tmonk: Talked to folks at StringsByHarry. Was going there to pick up but they only had the non-PSE only.
Going to put in either a full bed of Snake Bite 17g or Mantis Power Poly 17g. Going to test out the comfort of that racquet.

Striker and CB123, are you guys doing lunch today? I think I can actually make it out! Unless you brought your tennis gear and want to hit in 90 degrees... I might be able to get the Fed court at 1pm.
