I'm now reassured again that I've always been right when I say Big 3 >>>> Murray.

As we all see in today's match, Murray realized that he just couldnt pretend to be an actual great player like the Federer, Djokovic and Nadal. Just running from side to side trying to put the ball back in play again pathetically and pray for the opponent's error for the win. Hence, ultimately you can celebrate from get out of jail in the embrace of his classy mother.

Pure class Murray, you're the best.

He came back from 2 sets down to win the match, playing clutch in almost every key point.

What more do you want from him?

No. Murray has retrieved some unreal shots with even more unreal ones. He showed heart and passion for the game and he made an epic comeback to win. Kudos to him. Give credit where it is due.

As we all see in last week's match, Federer realized that he just couldnt pretend to be an actual great player like the Murray, Djokovic and Nadal. Just shanking from side to side trying to put the ball back in play again pathetically and pray for the ball to land in for the win. I have never seen in the entire match murraa playing aggressive , he just ran from side to side and kept pushing the balls in and that is why he cannot be coined with either fed, nadal or nole ..so OP has a point definitely.

What did I say that was wrong? Tick where applied:

1. So at one point he tried to play tennis like the Big 3 [ ]

2. When his imitation efforts fail like today => go back to the old way of running around like a mad dog, try to get the ball back in play. [ ]

3. His mother is real "classy" [ ]

4. He should never be classified in the same class as the big 3 [ ]

Oh, and even though I dont like Nadal's game, the guy actually knows how to attack. Dont humiliate him by comparing him to Murray. Simon would be your best bet

Dude, Murray's game was totally off for most of the 2 first sets... he did what he have to do to win and I see nothing wrong in that... furthermore most of you don't even the elements that constitutes a pusher... I'm sure Murray would defeat any of the self-assured clowns on this forum with his so called "pushing" game and with his left hand tied behind his back, 2 sets down, 0-5 in the third and 0-40 down.

To be honest, had this been a WTA match, like 100% certain the top player on the losing end would try to out-bash her good playing opponent instead of trying to weather the storm... between "pushing" and mindless aggression that would further bring you to make more unforced errors and losing the match in a bad day ; I prefer the player who actually adopts the "pushing" tactic and gives him/herself a chance to win in a desperate situation where he/she is literally down and out.

My guy's playing a dangerous looking Polish lad in the semis on Friday. Who's your 'Big 3' guy playing in his semi?

Verdasco's to blame for not coming to the net. Murray just did what he had to do.

Don't feel bad for your man, I think he's gonna make it back into the top 20 soon. I think your wish of Verdasco gets the last laugh against Raonic will come true.

ya the two bums who lost last week (one in straight sets, one in 4) are better than the guy who cruised through the tournament then posted his 7th career comeback from 2-0 down. brilliant

You seriously think that Murray is fully fit from that display?

You don't watch many Murray matches do you?

How dare you disrespect the greatest pusher that ever lived! No player in the history of tennis has come close to curing the insomia of millions quite like Kevin Spacey's crush. If you want tennis to become an aggresive sport, I recommend you follow something a little more violent like bowling or chess.

Damn sorry my bad.

Murray is not winning Wimbledon with this pushfest.

I know he wont, just feel bad for fiasco.

I think Murray knew Verdasco would capitulate eventually, and the conditions favoured this style of play.

Verdasco is a much more talented player than Raonic is. One could say if he had Raonic's determination he would be top 5 easily.

Disgusting Murray shows us his true colors. Everyone knows that when you are two sets down and being outplayed, the right thing to do is give up so that the crowd can go home early and have dinner. Instead this uncouth Murray decides to fight back. Murray's win came at the cost of families being broken up because Dad wasn't home on time to read Johnny a story. Was it worth it Murray? How do you sleep at night?

I think when he plays the lower ranked opponents, he thinks his passive game is good enough to win and it is against most players. He plays more aggressive against the big 4 because he has to to have any chance of winning. So he does have it in his locker if he needs to call on it. He just prefers not to against the lesser players and will play a lower risk game until the time comes when he needs to play more aggressively.

Verdasco was robbed of a slam semi today. Murray literally bored him to death in sets 4 and 5. Verdasco's mental strength is superhuman in a way because almost anyone else would have curled up and died if they were forced to play against that kind of tennis. Can anyone get a stat out for the sets 4 and 5 comparing the number of points Murray won from winners compared to points won from 'Dasco's UEs?

The crowd was being overly obnoxious as well. Shame on them.

I gotta say, Murray matches are by far the most enjoyable for me on my days off from the office. Only with Murray can I walk away to make a sandwich and come back with said sandwich and watch the same point still going. You miss NONE of the action. Its almost as if there isn't any action at all. But that's the genius of Murray, beat your opponent and crowd quietly into a senseless submission. Trick them into thinking they're playing tennis.

Well, of course Federer, Djokovic and Nadal have never ever had to struggle in a match have they and none of them have had the barefaced cheek to fight back from a position of being 2 sets down, have they?

Very nice to hear you say so. I'm sure he and his classy mother will much appreciate your kind and encouraging words! :)

But you have to admit that he 'pushes' those balls in quite effectively! He's been doing it ever since he came on tour. It's helped get him the world #2 ranking, you know. Has he been doing something wrong?

I honestly don't know where to start!

1. So at one point he tried to play tennis like the Big 3 [ ]

Is that a question or a statement?

2. When his imitation efforts fail like today => go back to the old way of running around like a mad dog, try to get the ball back in play. [ ]

How do you think his 'mad dog' act went today? Do you think he got enough balls back into play? Do you think we should have him put down like a 'mad dog' for having the cheek to do that?

3. His mother is real "classy" [ ]

You seem to have a bit of a thing for his mother. But I wouldn't get your hopes up. I suspect she's already spoken for!

4. He should never be classified in the same class as the big 3 [ ]

Oh, okay. Right you are then!

Oh, and even though I dont like Nadal's game, the guy actually knows how to attack. Dont humiliate him by comparing him to Murray. Simon would be your best bet

But Simon hasn't won a Slam. In fact he's hasn't won any title higher than a single 500. So how the heck did Murray manage to do so much better if he's more of a Simon than a Nadal? Please advise urgently!

Murray has the best grass stats after Fed (among active players). If he doesn't win this title, it will be a mini upset. It was a close call today. I think edging the match out will help Murray mentally if the final is tight.

Not sure. But the OP seems to think she's quite classy. But, then again, maybe he was being a tad insincere!

Murray-haters like the OP often seem to extend their distaste to his mother. You'd probably be better off asking THEM!
