It seems there's no top player with PTs on tour. have PT's time gone?
Do you know if nextgen uses classic racquets?

I think indeed there will be less and less players with the pt57 and the pro tours.
The "new" generation didnt grow up with them.
You can see it already on how many pro tours are on sale and just dont sell.

Yes, exactly. Head speeds or Babs are frames, nextgen have grown on.

I play with the Bumblebees myself and I think its even better than the PT630, I prefer the the crispness and how solid it is at contact without being too stiff, some real good sticks.

Wondering how the Zebra and Candycanes would compare?
are the zebra/candy cane codes pt57b, pt57a or something different?

My Zebras had a TK57A-6 stamp, as did my Bumblebee (TK57A-5) and my PT630 as well (can't remember the exact stamp)... so go figure. Didn't check my Candycane.

Wow, am not surprised about the bumblebees, but that the Zebra also had the A... I did not check mine when I had one. Interesting.

im confused to why the zebra comes in tk57b and a in the same time, is it not the same racket? im assuming maybe the initial release of zebras were A or something?

I'm not really sure... but I think @vsbabolat explained it once... it was just too long ago for me to remember. I now just go on which racquet feels good for me. I don't intend on spending the huge amounts being asked for PT57A's, so I just play with the Radical Tour 630s I like and the PT630s I have, and I don't worry what the stamp says or means. That's just me.

hundred percent agree on you with that to be honest... besides the bumblebee, zebras and candy canes are legends in their own right. im very likely to get a zebra just for the fun of it... they seem to be really solid frames, have u played with the zebra?

Yeah, I have. It is one of my favourite racquets. Really comfortable, yet very precise, excellent on the change of direction, I can hit all sorts of spin considering it's an 18x20 string pattern, and it has plenty of power due to the higher SW.

awesome sounds right up my alley. i play with a modded up microgel radical mp at the moment @ 350sw and 365 static weight... love it to bits, great with directional change, lots of plow through and the same big levels of spin for an 18x20 . like i said before i only want a zebra for fun at the moment, but if i ever wanted to change to it im sure it wouldnt be too difficult for me anyway considering it seems somewhat similar to my mg rad. im honestly pretty hyped up!

I see different codes:
PT57a-2
PT57a-3
I see people talk about lay up etc...
Some one knows what they really mean?

Is it correct that the youtek paintjob is the last one made in Austria?

When the pt57a is matched to the same specs as my pro tour 630. Will they play and feel te same?
I hesitate

with same specs, and both capped or not, but the same, I would say I never really felt a difference between them. Same frame. The only thing is when one 57a is full of silicone it might feel a little more muted.
And capped vs. non-cap I feel difference. Old and wonderful frame / mould jeje.

Hi, I cannot assure this but if you speak about the A-2 or A-3 on the paper sticker on the hairpin handle, my experience is taht there is a difference in feel, being the A3 slighly more firm (within the super nice soft touch of the 57a still).
But if you speak of the a2 a3 a4 a5 a6 on a hairpin round stamp of retail pT630 i have never felt a difference and never understood differences...

about youtek radical, I actually thought it was the first made in China

Hi,

It is indeed the A2 or A3 on the sticker. Not the stamp on the hairpin.

Thanks for your input!

The reason why i ask is because i played with the youtek ig mp retail and the feeling is harsh compared to the pt630

Those are nice. I still love the looks of the PT280s though. My i.Prestiges play great, but are pretty ugly. Been thinking of painting them in the Elektra or Elite Pro fashion.

Afaik, the passage from Austria to China manufactoring happened since about the middle of Youtek production, then around 2011 I suppose.

Really? I love my i.Prestige paintjob, they look great in black and silver!

I guess in comparison to the colors in the Prestige Mid Line (Candy Apple, Burgundy and the white TXP) and the Elite, Elektra, Graphite and Comp Pros.. I prefer those more. I consider those PJs a work of art.

In the PT57 lineage I like the looks of the PT280, Bumblebees, and Zebras.

That said, all of the PJs on my MPs are still ok, the black paint on the 1 mid I have has melted away.

Need some advise on the specs from the specialists here:).
Always played with the standard cap PT630 (dont know the exact specs, since they are all a bit different off course).
Since a couple of years matched them all to 340g/31cm balance (unstrung).
Plays very well off course, but maybe just that tiny little to heavy. But i can handle it.
Tried some others at 355g/31.5cm balance: they where really to heavy for me. Always to late to hit correctly....

Now i hesitate to make them a little lighter, i see 2 options to try:
-330g/31cm balance: so just 10g lighter but keep the same balance
-330g/31.5cm balance: so 10g lighter and move a little the balance

What will be the effect on the swingweight and how will they feel different?
Control/stable/volleys/returns/serve/baseline.

Thanks for your opinions! Would realy help me;)

Does anyone know whether the Youtek Graphene Prestige MP grommets (the red ones) will fit in the Graphene Touch Prestige MP? I see the Youtek Graphene is listed as a 98 sq in and the Touch MP is 95. Did they really change the mold sometime ago during this Great Graphene Depression?
