Sorry you missed out.

Why feel sorry about not having to spend $240 on a racquet that it might NOT be right for you even though you should be able to sell it for more money quickly?

That's what I was thinking last night. Every racquet I've bought I've demoed and bought for $75 or less. (Except for the K90 for a good reason.) Although I'm more consistent with the K90, I miss the feel I get from Head racquets. I also miss the Head grip shape now.

I'm sure it's TT members who bought out TW's supply of the 237.2, and this racquet deserves a decent review. So someone please write a review of this racquet when they get it.

But first, let us know the string pattern !!! :)

Someone called the TW and they confirmed it was the 18x20, but I still think they were wrong.

238.2 = 16x19
263.2 = 16x19
237.2 = should be 16x19

238.1, 237.1, 263.1 are all 18x20

Just checked. ALL GONE. No more. That's it.

I would have killed for a couple of these.... Too bad that everyone who got one probably can't really use it.....

How unfortunate that this thread brought attention to it and now there all sold out. Won't be suprised to see em on thE bay at near PC600 prices. This morning I was scoping out a 4 1/2 on the site. I got no money anyways.

Then why do you even care that they're already sold out? :)

i was considering getting a couple of these, the 16x19 pattern would have been interesting to try, particularly since i have a couple stock prestige mids.. didnt think they would sell out so quick!

Can someone from TW please clear this up...

Is this a 18x20 or 16x19?

If it's a 16x19.. I'm looking to stock-up.

What they're sold-out?????

They just went-up yesterday...

Hopefully this is a good sign to the manufacturers...

We're willing to pay extra for craftmanship and QC.

Like Pistol Pete says, they are indeed 16x19. When I called, the friendly TW sales associate went to the warehouse and got one to confirm. I think whatever initial confusion there was came from the incorrect info on the website and the fact that the racquets were only available for such a short period of time, some sales associates may not have seen it yet. I was told they went on sale yesterday afternoon and sold out this morning.

So they are prestige mids (not midpluses) in a custom 16x19 pattern? Im confused.

Indeed this is a very healthy indicator for Head. They can easily raise the price to even higher .. so much for the bad economy. A lots of people are dying to pay over $200 for a pro-stock racquet.

Just curious - would you buy one for $400?

The reason people here trust and respect VSB is because over the years he shares his knowledge with people here. VSB contributed alot to the board. Everybody could be wrong sometimes. And so yes VSB could be wrong on this matter, but at least he is not like someone who try to sell these pro stocks for big bucks. You have connections to get these pro stocks, and you have tried couple times to sell them, on the board. Didn't you?

WHat is the point of this comment???
Yes, he has done it.
I have done it too.

Is he supposed to donate them or something?

drakulie, I read somewhere that you have the 237.1 version. Does it have the same swingweight of 332 as the 237.2?

the point is VSB has done huge contribution to the board, and if you'd like to make fun of him then you'd better have done some similar contribution for the board as well, not just by making money off the people here. :twisted:

That would be generous of you guys.

On a personal level, I would donate them IF I received them for free! Practically all my racquets that I have sold have not turned into a profit. When no one was interested even at a low, low price, I donated them to Goodwill. That's just me. I do not expect others to follow suit.

I beg to differ. I could say with absolute confidence that the PS85 made in China absolutely sucks to the one made in Chicago, St. Vincent, and even Taiwan.
Good point! It may not be applicable to racket manufacturing, quality control is non existent or way at the bottom of importance as the factories in China focus primarily in cost reduction that may resort to adulteration of process or material in the name of profitability. The company for which I work had to recall many products because one of our suppliers subcontracted their manufacturing to a Chinese company.

uhhhmmm, do you have anything to say???

Yes, I do. Head makes a PR statement that they keep some of the production (namely the pro-stock rackets) in Austria to maintain high quality standards but farm outs everything else to Chinese companies that quality control is SECONDARY.

The whole industry needs to be overhauled. All these companies continue to portray the rackets that the consumers buy are actually the same rackets played by the pros. I personally do not care what they use since I do not read tennis magazine or watch tournaments on TV or cable. I have no idea who the pros are and their stats. Even if they actually played with the rackets directly from the assembly without any modifications, what's good for them may not be necessary good for my style of play. Instead of paying the pros for their endorsements, they can easily pass on the savings to us (.. this would never happen, LOL). I work in the medical device industry. The FDA cracks down on all false claims and payments to doctors for anything that might influence the sale of products. Why can't the sport equipment be subject to the same level of scrutiny for consumer protection?

Especially considering the equipment has an effect on health

Did you also send an UNSOLICITED email to numerous people here, listing a whole bunch of pro stocks for sale?

Then DO NOT list your email on the PUBLIC board...
No, I did not, but he was doing people a favor by doing that...

Also, a lot of the stuff ont his board is PURE spculation, so I am not quite sure who really contributed to the stuff (including myself)...

Yes, RacquetCraft is a great contributor to this board IMO.

Yeah a member who joined the board for 4 month with 80ish posts, where most of his posts are about the pro stocks he owns. He is a great 'contributor' to you because you bought stuff off him. What else to put on the table?

So you are saying what RacquetCraft posted could be PURE speculation. And you don't know who is right and who is wrong. :)

so, are these 100% graphite (no twaron) prestiges with 16x19 pattern? is that your final answer? do these have the "prestige" 93 in. head (ie. 89.5) or might these be what some believe to be the only true 93 incher head has produced and be from the premier tour mold (16x19, right?)? i guess people will see when they get them.

I never bought a thing from RC, but I know people that did.

Your understanding of my previous comment is wrong. I said PEOPLE (including your mighty example) on this board post many speculations... And yes, I am not sure who's right on this board on some things...

Again, RC may have joined 4 monthS ago and talked mainly about the Pro sticks... His expertise in that area is well beyond your, mine and many others here...

I have bought sticks from RC and he is a nice guy. Has access to some wild frames and I have nothing but good things to say about the guy. But the problem is none of us can be ABSOLUTELY sure of anything posted on this site, but most on here seem nice enough and usually qualify their statements as opinions or their own observations on playtests, etc.

So dr325i I see you finally made the jump to the A frames, how you liking those?
