Yeah, I guess she is alright, I just get tired of all the propaganda hidden as stats, if she would just come out and say what she is really trying to say with a few words instead of thousands of biased stats.

A simple equation would suffice, this is what she is always trying to say.

Nadal > Federer

10 > 16

I actually used to like Ralph in 2005 back when Vijay Amritraj touted him as this up and coming youngster. But the mere fact that he resorts to shameless gamesmanship(taking too much time b/w points for one) and this attitude to win hook or by crook makes me turn away.
I can appreciate his willingness to fight, but the cons far outweigh the pros,I'm afraid. Too bad because he really doesn't have to resort to this monkey business to win, his game is good enough.

Ofcourse needless to say, his game is ugly as s**T. That's probably the biggest downer for a Federer fan like myself. I'm still baffled to this day how Nadal even has fans with all his shenanigans.

I think he single-handedly destroyed the gentleman's game and took it to the gutter. So maybe he should get credit for that, for being "unique" since noone before him did it?

I'm sorry I can't express my feelings as craftily as VLBJ does,he sure is a master!

Just imagine if Nalbandian was Federer's main rival in 3 of the 4 slams excluding RG(who cares about the boring clay events anyway, was mostly skipping it even in the 90s). It would've taken tennis to never before seen heights and enhanced our viewing experience ten-fold. Don't care who wins/loses, Fed Nalbandian matches are a pure joy to watch.

It's a shame that Federer's main rival is a man with the ugliest game and the most questionable character in tennis history.

This translates to "I used to like Nadal until he started beating Fed too much. Now I cannot stand him,and pick on every single thing he does because of it". Lol.

I'm not surprised the trolls have come in to ruin this thread. It's called the 'Admire both players' thread, not the 'this is why I don't like Rafa/Fed' thread.

Seriously guys, I worry for you. So much hate inside is not good for you. No I mean seriously. Let go. If you have issues in your personal life, deal with them. Don't let them manifest in some online forum as the hatred you spew towards other players and fans. Seriously. Let go. You will feel much better.

For my own sanity, I choose to believe that these are Internet personas. Viscerally hating someone you've never met(especially an athlete, who has no bearing on your life, I could maybe understand a politician but a guy that hits a ball for a living, come on) in real life is a sign that something may be very wrong with you.

LOL@ *******s taking the moral high ground,Can't say I haven't seen it before.

I think *******s should just be grateful that the ATP hasn't banned Nadal from tennis yet for all his rule violations.

Me too. I'm actually quite fond of guys like Jacksonvile and NadalAgassi (or whatever their names are now) because every now and then they say things which I think are quite level headed, and the rest of the time I'm sure they're just winding people up for their own amusement.

Its scary to think though, for example, the sorts of people you find in the dark corners of YouTube who say such awful things about others, might actually be very normal people in everyday life.

It's amazing what anonymity does to people.

Anonymity in a forum is like being drunk - some people are happy drunks, some people are angry drunks. Most of the ****s are angry drunks, probably wouldn't be good company at a bar.

I'm not sure I'm with you on that one because unless no one takes themselves seriously, winding people up is usually a recipe for **** wars.

Thank you. I have to admit that when you first started posting, I liked your posts. Somewhere down the road it seems like you have really started hating Nadal. I've seen this happen to other posters as well which I believe is a function of how polarizing this forum is.

Seems to me people show their true colours when there's no consequences...

Denial of what?

Don't bother, just ignore him.

Admiration thread taken over by malignant haters, great!

I started this thread and fully expected the clowns and loonies to come out of the woodwork and transfer their war here.
The way to look at it is this in my view - quite a few people took the opportunity to express their admiration for two great players and there were some fine posts along those lines - the thread was a success therefore in my book.
As for the weirdos and loonies - don't be bothered by them - instead have a laugh at them and just be thankful you are well-adjusted and normal and a true tennis fan and can appreciate Federer and Nadal for what they are - two of the very best to ever pick up a racquet.

I am really happy that someone takes on this topic. I mean, both guys are huge sportsman. Fed is clearly an elegant player who probably will never be reached in style combined with success. Nadal has a mindset and will beyond anything. In terms of talent he may lack some kind in comparison to Fed, but his mentality is a level higher.

I am really a huge Fed fan, but I am appreciating Nadal very much for what he brought to tennis (and TV).

Keep it up guys!
