The Racquets of Daniil Medvedev

Recently i got several racquets belonged to Daniil Medvedev.
Accidentally got acquainted with his elder sister who got his old sticks. Before he played with Wilson, now he sponsored by Technifibre. I can not prove that these are his personal racquets, because he asked his sister to tear off yellow Technifibre stickers with his name and racquet model name before she gave the racquets to me.

Have you hit with them yet? Looks like the Wilson is cracked at 3.

Yeah, Wilson is cracked, i put some glue to this place, but don't have a lot of illusions about it. In any case i get these racquets for $5 together, it was just a long trip to his sister's place to get it.
No, not yet, it's still a winter locally, yesterday was -20, so i will wait.

Waiting to hear more about how these rackets play...
Its probably still winter in Russia.
Anyway 'Доверяй, но проверяй', as they say in Russia and frequently used by president Reagan when encountering sovjet leader Gorbachev in the 80s, meaning trust, but verify.
According to some members here, every tennis pro of some standard is playing with exclusive pro stock racquets and proof of that should be on the hair pin where there should be imprinted some mysterious code. So.. ;)
Besides, i suspect the racquets weight 359 gr strung. Therefore there should be assuming the strings weight 17 gr and an overgrip 7gr, added some 30gr in and or on the racquets. Do you know where?
And why does a tall player like Medvedev who is nearly 2 m play with gripsize 3, or does he has small hands?
These racquets pose more questions than answers.

It's interesting. The racquet is painted completely like PS97 with all specs. Paintjob?

Apologies for not replying previously.

It seems many brands are now applying the entire graphics kit to paint job frames including little stuff like that.

I don’t know if it is related but it seems as cameras and publicly available photos have increased in resolution they have gone to greater lengths.

Any idea which model of the Technifibre racket, string, tension and overall specs that Medvedev is currently using?

Dont know if he's made the switch already, was told officialy that he initially was using Razor Code in white color, surely to help with Ice Code marketing....

But maybe he's switched by now. We need a stringer confirmation.

There is a cold and rainy summer in Moscow, but we have some possibilities to play.
Yes, the racquets are pro stock. There is F185 mark on buttcap. No visible lead on the frame, so all added weight should be in the handle.
I will not remove the grip and pallets to check hair pin, sorry, will not to prove anybody that these racquets are Medvedev's. It is quite clear to me.
If you watched his playing you should notice he used a lot of wrist movements, so gripsize 3 is explainable.

I’ll find out tomorrow.

First Medvedev was a Wilson contracted player. He played with Wilson racquet, Luxilon strings and Wilson outfit (his sister gave me some of his Wilson wrist bands).

what racket does he actually play with? anyone know the specs?

I am fairly sure he uses the Dynacore 305 tuned to his specs. It is not the previous one (DC) but the one before that. But to be honest, i've owned them all and they play 90% the same. Feel slightly changed for the better.

It is RAZOR CODE in White so far only for him. The White Razor Code is also planned be released for the general public at a later date.
i gotta try that string. he has amazing control with it. Is razor code one of their best polys ?

It’s billed as their top poly.........been around a few years now. Both Ice Code and Black Code are considered just a notch below.

I always thought that unlike the rest of the next generation, he seemed to be swinging a heavy racquet, at least it appears so visually.

How long will Medvedev stay Technifibre? I would imagine other racquet companies would like to sponsor him
Being a junior he was sponsored by Wilson - racquets, apparel, strings (Luxilon), then switched to Technifibre (first with Luxilon, then also Technifibre strings) and Lotto apparel and shoes. Then to Lacoste and Nike shoes. Technifibre players often sponsred with Lacoste.

Yup! Turns out there was a reason for it: http://www.tennisindustry.org/cms/index.cfm/news/lacoste-acquires-tecnifibre/

I guess that with Lacoste behind their back, Tecnifibre might be able to hold on to Medvedev

If you goto Tecnifibres instagram stories you'll see him getting strung up at 21/22. As for the string by painting the string do you mean adding a different colour during extrusion process?

Some of our local MRTs went down to Miami to string:
