man… i’m just staring at that court preparation. look at the area by the net! just perfect. right amount of clay, nice even spread. and that line…

here in Florida about 90% of the clay courts have yahoo’s taking care of them that don’t know what they are doing. gets moldy around the net, too thin around the net and slippery, bad line prep, and just poor maintenance overall.

Almost like I'm a professional...

I took one picture of the courts this spring right after I finished them before the members ruined them.

How would you compare the Pro to some other racquets in the Head lineup? Notably the ET or PMP if you don't mind.
More power and larger sweet spot than both of those. Great speed and was really easy to use. I also tried the PT layup on it (vs retail/TGT) and preferred the retail.
I did miss the accuracy/control with it though although the string job was not my usual.
But overall great feedback

My first impression of it was kind of meh. Stock weight and swing weight seem pretty low and the string tension was higher than I like. With a dampener, it didn't have enough feel but when I took the dampener off if felt tinny and hollow on impact.

Mods will be done after I've completed the obligatory stock hitting sessions to provide feedback for the TW playtest.

The wide cross section but thin vertical width beam looks like it will cut through the air with ease when swung similar to my old Atlantis but with a constant beam rather than the double power wedge. I am concerned if the design will result in a lot of balls hit off the frame especially with the modern more vertical swing.

Boom seems like a really bad name. Presumably, the Instinct name is being retired - probably a good thing as it was unclear what the name sought to convey to consumers.

the one video TW had about it said it was designed for the american market for higher stiffness and power, since that's one segment where the head rep said they're lacking competitively. i guess they want to make a pure drive type competitor.

if those "YOU GOT THIS" phrases are here to stay though, i wonder if it will be more a junior or beginner's racquet.

The MP is going after the PD crowd.
The Pro is very different, 22mm and tested by quite a few Pros...

Well…22 beam, teardrop, 98 sq in more powerful than speed/radical…
I liked it a lot

Sounds like a sweet frame. Will there be any overlap in audience for the players seeking a more control oriented frame, like the Prestige and Gravity? Just curious if you see Gravity and Prestige users making the switch to the first generation Boom Pro.

I don’t know a lot about layup, but isn’t the a 98 with a 22 beam be less powerful than a 100 with 23 beam? The Boom is line is gonna be the first to have whatever the new tech is right?

like an extension of the old pyramid frame? I’ll give the pro a demo….cause why not. Doubt I’ll change from my Fischer’s cause well I never do lol.

The Pure Drive needs competition..good competition..not attempts... something that can go toe to toe without the high stiffness..if someone can do that.. kudos to them..
