Janko played his last ATP tournament match today in Stockholm. If you get a chance to watch the end of the match and the ceremony afterwards, please do. It was an exciting match at the end and both players were emotional.

I always get teary-eyed when people retire.

(I should add that Tipsarevic did confirm that he will still be playing in Davis Cup for Serbia. When asked about his most memorable moment in in pro career he said it was when Troicki won a crucial match for Serbia. Tipsy is ever the loyal Serb. Congrats to him on a great career.)

Ha ha! I'm not a Fognini fan, so that sat well with me.
Having said that, I have to admit that I've not followed Tipsy closely and can't count myself as a long-standing Tipsy fan. I only gotten engaged in ATP in the past couple of years. I do admire all pro players for the grind they must go through. And I respect how it must feel to play that last match. That's why I posted this thread.

It would be helpful for the rest of us if there were some Janko fans who could share some stories about what they've enjoyed about watching him during his career and why .

Taken down by foot tumor. We have a user with name Tipsa.... Don'tLikeHim; excellent poaster, so can't defend Tipsy. For me he was like a repugnant PCB making World Tour Finals.

If he wanted to go out like a boss then he should have won the tournament. Pretty sure Fognini didn’t turn up or gave it to him because it was his last tournament.
