What is living Meager mean to you ?? 2 million can give you pretty nice living. you can get like $150-200,000 per year on interests and compounding money without having the principle go down much at all. So to me, Retired person with $150-200,000 per year isn't that bad of living. Also you can move to Arizona or Florida and live much better, that money will carry much further than in California.

Meager to me is 50,000 a year and no more

Taxes takes 50% of passive earnings unless you live in a state with no income tax!

That is only if you are not retired. If you are Retired, it is NOT 50 %................ If you have 2 million in the bank, you can make very good living, around 100,000-150,000 after taxes. and that isn't even including the social security checks you will get on top of that.

There is no difference between being retired and getting income and working and getting income. Income is income! You get tax based on your income tax rate!

Become a cheesy Magician, have your own show in Vegas. Make people disappear into UPS boxes. Problem solved.

By then I will be late 40s and have 900,000 in bank plus another million when my parents go .
I could live off that and work part time but I must live meager
Yer gloating here, rather distasteful and makes for bad karma.

Would it be better he was not?
Best to practice what you preach. In his populism he rails against crony capitalism of the elites. As he is known to say, "the millionaires and billionaires". So having a $600k lake house is not the best way to show you are a man of the people.

Here are some spelling errors to criticize...millliaaares poopulism and commmy

Till they find out about religious differences

Oh. Oh yeah. That might make a difference.

Well, Dallas, Texas has a large Jewish population. And guns. Lots of guns. And UPS stores. Bingo.

edit: and steer wrestling! 44 likes to wrestle! Presto... a match made in heaven!

So if he was poor or middle class, would you vote him?

My point is to show his hypocrisy. Did I? Or is there a better word to describe when a man shouts to the masses about unaffordable housing and has a lake front home(1 of 3 homes).
Maybe he is not that rich as we think, and that's why he protests that it costs him so much to afford that lake house.
But anyway, if I were a US citizen, I would need to vote Trump, who gives tax cuts to the rich, so they can share their wealth employing me instead of paying taxes and sending his businesses abroad.
So bad I can't work and vote in the US, as I would first have to find a way to get through the wall.

Sticking to Bernie, pretty sure having three houses puts him as rich.

Sticking to Trump, pretty sure he's a multi-billionaire New York elitist who sells himself as a populist. The Soviets and Putin relied on the cult of personality to rally the masses while they lied to and robbed them, and so does Trump.
Ok, I made no point about Trump just about Bernie, but I will watch video. I take it you don't disagree that Bernie is a hypocrite.

Trump's hypocrisy was his talk of draining the swamp only to bring on people like Bolton and host of others. Populists can be rich it is about their appeal(talking points) to the common man. As for a cult of personality, most Presidents and some candidates have it. Think it reached a fever pitch of stardom with Obama that culminated in a Nobel prize. Obama's COP was far greater than Trump's. In the end both Bernie and Trump can be hypocrites.
