Can confirm it’s a tennis polo. I actually found it at my local Marshall’s for $15 when it was originally released
Yeah, that’s what I thought. I remember it being released and it’s a rare find now days. The reason I said sample was because he didn’t wear a polo till Doha then from IW onward.

@BDAZ us open 95 would be easy, but I was never a fan of the brown. I’ve had a few requests so you’re not alone.
However...I’ve had requests for this one too. maybe I’ve been watching too much Friends on Nick at Nite lately, but I found a fantastic grunge pattern, and I was able to work with it to remake this 95 classic. I’m going to start with it and also make a pair of shorts for sampling.

The shorts would work well with a white polo that has a black collar trim for a different look.

i have this og shirt. nice choice. shorts fail

I have the 95 AO design made up already. That would be a fantastic shirt, but the custom checker collar and cuffs are expensive. I’m trying out custom checker cuffs on a different shirt right now, and I want to see how they come out first:

Since I’m making samples, I added the us open 95 to the list. it’s not a difficult design. I like black buttons for this one over the wood colored ones on the original. Color matching the brown might be a problem for the purists.

However, I need the measurements of the stripes. Does anyone have the measurements in centimeters?
sign me up for 2 of the auzzie and us ,95’s

when is the oz 95 shirt coming out?

I looked into it because the 95 Red Oz is on my wish list.

Bottomline: the costs to custom make the checker cuffs and collars is too much for one style shirt. if sales of other products make enough money to cover the losses on this project, I might be to do it later this fall or next year.

long explaination: It’s really the costs of the checker collar. The checker cuffs are much cheaper. You have to place a minimum order of 1000 units to make the collar. It’s the same for the cuffs. So that’s 1000 collars and 1000 cuffs. Already the costs is >$1100 before I print out the designs, cut the fabric, and sew it together. I could do it with a solid red collar and solid red cuffs, but it won’t look right.

I do this is as a hobby, and I don’t make money. I don’t even break even. I do it because it’s fun, but when I start losing a lot of money it’s not fun anymore. just to break even on this shirt I’ve got to sell about 45 of them to make it work. I’ve had a lot of emails requesting this shirt, but not 45 people. If a major tennis online retailer carried this shirt on their website, they would be able to promote it to a larger audience. that might also work.

You know. I get easily persuaded into these things.
2 weeks ago I said I’d never make a US open 95 shirt and now I have a sample in the mail (should be here by Tuesday).
After designing the 95 Open I went back and looked at the Black version.
I think the black version is a better shirt, so I’m ordering a sample of that tonight. At the very least I should have:

And
49860384707_3829ed773f_w_d.jpg

these two, would likely sell well because people might want to pick up both colorways.

I will possibly make this one below, but I’m not surehow well the grunge plaid is going to turn out. I’ll find out on Tuesday when the samples come in. If it doesn’t look right, it won’t sell and I won’t make them.

Brown version is here a day early. Apparently DHL isn’t taking a holiday and neither am I. Went to work on photos the second it came.

Advantage of making this in Smooth poly is that the shiny chocolate gives it a hint of copper. If you know the shoes, it matches well.

this is the sample. It’s for me, so it’s a small. They made it with white buttons. That’s a mistake I can fix. I can change it to black buttons for production.

The stripes are made to exact measurements, so you can see the bottom stripe on the front falls off. That’s not a mistake. Again, that’s because it’s a size small.

Perhaps the brown should be slightly lighter.
The buttons as mentioned above, black.
For the rest it seems like a great job.

On the sleeves the brown part should be inverted with respect to the white part (if you can) ... at least looking at the original in front of me

I’m hoping to get the black sample in the next week. It should look good. I’ll post the pic when I get it. Then it’s three more weeks after that. I’m thinking 4th of July

any thoughts of preordering ?

I can use any insight to help me determine what sizes I need to order for production. I don’t want to be stuck with sizes that don’t sell. So if you tell me 2 XLs in brown version and black version (or whatever you need), I can add that to production and place those aside for you. Just PM me your name and quantity. I don’t want any payments upfront. Too messy and I don’t need the hassle. I can message you when they arrive. At the moment I’m holding stuff for 2 ppl stuck in Germany and Dubai until COVID improves. So I don’t mind holding it for a month or two.

The 95 Open sample shirt I received is a slim fit. If you like the way the Everidge and Philippe fit, order the same size. Those are slim fitting too. If you don’t have those shirts, and you want the loose 90s style fit Like AA, I’d recommend a size up.

With a lot more time at home, I’ve been planning out the 2021 line. I’ve already drawn up 80% of 2021 and samples are in the mail. I have a tiger design, and with the recent success from the Netflix series Tiger King, I’m tempted to release it this summer instead. We’ll have to see if it’s still popular when production arrives. What to look forward to: The Paris / Michael Chang will be restocked, Stan shorts, checkerboards, and an Andy Murray Olympic classic.

a few pieces on the “maybe” list, so I’ll ask the gallery:
Classic 2005. I made the artwork today, and I loved the design. It came in green, red, & blue. They even made a few sleeveless versions of the shirt for Rafa.

The question I have: would it kill the look if I ditched the front zipper? The sleeveless version never had a zipper, so are ppl still interested if it’s a crew?

Any chance these could be part of the pre-order are are they still in production?

I take it for granted that there will be sizes M and L; therefore there should also be a brown piece towards the end of the shirt.
Then can both versions be ordered from 4th July brown and black?

Tiger king and Paris are already up.

Fed stuff is on hold until 2021. After all, I need to save something for 2021. Too early for preorder on those.

Checkerboard stuff is coming in 2 weeks.

Do the smooth polyester polos fit differently than the performance pique polyester polos? I guess what I'm asking is, are all the smooth polyester polos slim fit? Or just the ones mentioned above?

@Capt. Willie
I feel like the smooth poly runs slimmer. Some people like that. Other people are asking me for a size up. So I would recommend sizing up, especially on the AA shirts to get the loose 90s look

got the sample in today along with production of the checkerboard collection. I’ll have to take promo pics this weekend.
I ordered production and made payment for this and the brown Colorway last week. Still hoping for arrival by July 4. If not then, definitely by July 15.

I went from “never making these” to “maybe a sample” and today production arrived.
I didn’t grade the stripes (just like the original) so they are the same size on all shirts. You get the full three stripes on the XL pictured here. I also included measurements of the stripe for anyone wanting to compare.

Practically identical to the original; the margin of error in the measurements of the stripes is 1 maybe 2 mm

Glad you all made this thread, i never heard of this brand before. I love the style of these clothes. Just bought a track jacket and a tennis polo on sale for like $48 shipped. That less than one nike or adidas item and these clothes have more style to them.

The fact that he remade the classic agassi jean shorts look instantly sold me. I love the 90s stylings hes got happening.

Have to give a huge shout out to Brian (KANZA) at Vollaix. I wasn't paying attention and ordered several items in the wrong size and Vollaix is out of my size. He refunded me quickly for the items I messed up and sent the rest of the order out. So easy to do business with and he very quickly corrected my mistake. Thanks so much. Time get back on the site and find something else to order.
