Medvedev is playing on court 2. A court without roof. And he is scheduled last on that court. Which makes it likely that his match won't finish in one day.
It is an insult for the sport of tennis when organizers of grandslams use BLATANT favoritism and DECEPTIVE practices to disadvantage a player they don't like.
Medvedev is world #2, 2 time slam finalist. He has played 3 matches on court 1 and he plays the 4th one on court 2. So he goes to the QF with the disadvantage of NEVER having played on center court and possibly playing on consecutive days.
This kind of crap is not even legal. It would NEVER EVER happen in any other slam such as RG, UsOpen or AO. Wimbledon and it's nefarious organizers have lost all respect. It's a joke at this point. I really hope Karma comes to bite them.

Who is behind this, you think? Could it be the British Royal Family?
Hurkacz (who is hopefully going through the quarter finals) has played his matches on 12, 14 and 15. Why hasn't he been on show courts like Medvedev? Because he's not ranked #2. Medevedev has already been elevated well above the interest the attending fans have in him, due to his ranking. There is nothing to whinge about.

His next match isnt even on a show court. What an utter disgrace. This guy is No 2 in the world with a chance to become world no 1 and he hasnt had a single game on CC.

Can you elaborate? Medvedev is the world No 2 with a chance to be world no 1. The best players should be playing on Centre Court but not once has Medvedev played on it.

I didn't know what his seeding was but I presumed it was lower than his ATP ranking. It appears I was wrong. What I think might be happening is that the organizers are having to make hard decisions to keep both the men's stars happy and respond to criticism from the women's side of the draw. Just my theory ofc.
That actually had a good seeding system that recognised grass results, but didn't use it this year. I guess possibly because there have been no grass event for 2 years!

I don't think Med minds it, transition from court 1 to CC is easy than CC to court 1 or 2.
And if some Fed fans feel this is personal then I will say as a Novak fan, Novak should have been on Court 1 and Med should have taken Novak place tomorrow, and if there is no chance of rain then I don't mind Novak playing even on court 2

Actually this is what I meant in other thread, either don't give him number two seeding, you can seed him around number 4 or 8 but if you have given him number two seeding then respect the number

It's the organization - from top to bottom. They just think they are above everything and the law. They do what they want and are just too powerful.
It is no secret that they always gave preferential treatment for Fed always. They even screwed over Pete.

True and Med vs Struff and Med vs Cillic were some of the best matches of the tournament. 3x better than anything on center court.
Wimbledon doesn't care about rankings. They do stuff to suit their own agenda.

Federer and Djokovic are legends in Wimbledon, and will get CC when they play the same day.
But to put Zverev above Medvedev is bizarre.

I could see it happening at the FO but only because of incompetence of the FFT not because of favoritism. Agree this would never happen at AO or USA.

Actually something like this has NEVER happened at the French Open. No #2 player has been EVER kept out on center court and court 1 until the QF.

Maybe not but the FFT is notorious for doing stupid things like scheduling Novak and Roger to play at the exact same time on different courts or scheduling Novak and then roger to play at night in front of no fans.

As predicted, It started to RAIN. Medvedev is SCREWED big time. Organizers got what they wanted. The Russian will NOT finish his match today and will play THREE CONSECUTIVE days now without being on center.

I'm not actually familiar, but is there some ATP regulation that says the higher seeds must play here, etc? Federer is clearly a bigger draw, as is Raducanu, the British teenager, etc. Doesn't the tournament get to decide who to put on CC based on who the fans are most interested in?
I'm not saying Med shouldn't get CC as #2 at some point, but can't Wimby just do what they want? Is there some ATP guideline they are breaking? Otherwise, it's just their show, yea?

Who cares. I do think gauff has gotten too many CC matches for someone who hasn’t done much.
