Its some kind of a trick question, very mature. OP asks "finals results", which of course is irrelevant, because losing R1 will appear as stronger than winning 6 matches and losing the final. But anyway, finals results is what OP asks, and as silly as it is, you can defend 7-0 being stronger than 8-3, although in reality it isnt (like in boxing, where 7-0 would be stronger than 8-3, although it is totally incomparable)
