Weak era.
2004-2007we agree it exists, we just don't agree when it exists.
2004-2007
2009 was a weak year too but 2008 was GOATdisagree, I'd add 03 as well
2010 PEAK TENNIS2009 was a weak year too but 2008 was GOAT
Nadal is the clay GOAT.
There isn't a hard courts Goat, there isn't a grass Goat, there isn't an overall Goat, but Rafa is the Clay Goat. No doubt about that.
Novak Djokovic reported thischanging slams to BO3 would kill the sport
Also, allowing Djokovic to run the ATP would kill tennis...changing slams to BO3 would kill the sport
That the ball is round?
Nadal surpassed Borg's achievement s on clay about a decade back. While I agree, I've seen enough people use weak era argument. And the Jordan aspect of concentrated excellence for Borg. Along with how Borg set the precedent, etc.
The energy pyramids and herbal tea have really gone to his headAlso, allowing Djokovic to run the ATP would kill tennis...

I've seen two people disagree with this in the other thread.changing slams to BO3 would kill the sport
I bet these would be the same people claiming Federer is GOAT, that this is the weakest era ever and that clay should be banned...could be
but the color is a different matter, people argue whether it's green or yellow
I'm sure you can find someone who'd argue that the ball being fluffy makes it not round
They must be impostors.I've seen two people disagree with this in the other thread.
Novak and his alt accountI've seen two people disagree with this in the other thread.
disagree, I'd add 03 as well
Lleyton is the weakest multi-YE1 by far, for the reasons you mention.I'll go more extreme and say 2000 since Sampras' reign had ended and he went over 2 years without winning a tournament until his last at 2002 USO! Hewitt could be a beast and had plenty of heart, but no real weapons so him being #1 for any real length of time proves how weak things had become! Him winning Wimbledon over Nalbandian tells it all! That happened before the homogenization of courts so there couldn't haven't have been too much pressure on Lleyton to hold the top rank for well over a year!
You shoukd have seen 2010 and 2013 if you think 2008 is GOAT.2009 was a weak year too but 2008 was GOAT
Yeah... that's his decision. His mistake.different competitions, players back in Borg's days were more specialized to play on clay
not to mention how early Borg retired
I'd agree Nadal is the clay goat but Borg makes it more close then records would suggest
Yiu'll find weak slams everywhere. Not all slams were like Wimb 2002.I'll go more extreme and say 2000 since Sampras' reign had ended and he went over 2 years without winning a tournament until his last at 2002 USO! Hewitt could be a beast and had plenty of heart, but no real weapons so him being #1 for any real length of time proves how weak things had become! Him winning Wimbledon over Nalbandian tells it all! Coz Kim has a bunch of kids to attend to. Judy is bored. What makes you think I'm not Kim?
I disagree.This season has sucked!
Coz Kim has a bunch of kids to attend to. Judy is bored.
Clearly you've never had kids.Kim's a woman. She can multi-task.
I disagree.
Rafa winning the first ever October/indoor FO by trashing Djokovic was legendary.
Thiem finally winning a slam in weird conditions was legendary. People getting triggered that he won it the way he won it is an added bonus.
The AO finale was exciting.
