Watched Room (2015) and Hell or High Water (2016). Solid movies. Can understand why Brie Larson got an academy for her role, very impressive. Rather claustrophobic film about a mother raising her five-year-old son, trapped in a windowless room, and them facing the prospect of entering the outside world. Hell or High Water is a straight-up western crime thriller about two brothers committing a series of robberies to save their family ranch, and of the two Texas rangers who are chasing them. Some social commentary in it as well, and nicely shot.

I enjoyed Meet Me In ... but not seen the other two. Not even heard of Poison Pen. Will check up. It almost sounds like a Miss Marple story.
Thx.

Ok cool. :D
Have you seen the other two yet?!
I can't believe you haven't seen Calamity Jane (Doris Day) this is a classic!! Poison Pen is just a movie I came across on tv, seen it a couple of times!! :)

The Den. Enyoyed this indie horror, some unsettling moments. Made on a said budget of $500k the few plot holes can be forgiven.

Saw this movie over the weekend and could earn the Best movie of the year in the Oscars.

I have NO idea how they were able to get ALL Star cast on this 2nd budget movie Sci fi. but may have something to do with Earth day and global crisis that we are facing that politicians refuse to talk about. but anyway this movie is ALL star cast and ALL star Oscar quality movie.
Ha Noomi Rapace from Aliens Covnenant and Prometheus............ that alone would make it worth it but look at the rest of the cast.................. WOW

I watched a couple of indie survival flicks and they were both great - Curve and Backcountry. The latter is however based on a true story. So gripping...there were times I forgot to breathe.

in theatres, fright night with unfulfilled hints of profundity, recalls Ben Franklin's advice "we must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly, we shall all hang separately."

I started watching "The Score" last night but damn if I didn't fall asleep.

RDN was good, Marlon Brando made Sewretch look thin and Edward Norton was very good. Angela Bassett was HOT!

Just saw "Hell Or High Water," ironically enough while waiting out this friend named Irma and too bored to watch the final.

Jeff Bridges is very good as an aging Texas Ranger and Chris Pine does a fine job looking the part of a West Texas rancher down on his luck and desperate enough to hook up with his convict brother to pull off some bank robberies. Ben Foster plays the brother with a screw loose and a death wish.

Saw that three years ago, can remember a bit of it. Ed Norton pretending to be ... autistic or spastic or something.

HOHW was fun. Might see it again in a few years.

Started Appointment with Death (1988) - Ustinov, Lauren Bacall, Carrie Fisher, John Gielgud. This is the last movie in which Ustinov portrays Hercule Poirot.

Wasn't this summer the Crappiest summer for great blockbuster movies ?? The worst summer ever. I thought Alien Covenant was going to be good but it turned out that it had Characters with no intelligence.

The Lover. The BEST Romance I have ever seen in my entire lifetime.

Anyway during the War time like WW2, it was a normal thing to just to take the woman you want if you are conquering army. So for that Major of german army to take that servant girl like that was fairly normal for during that time. But of course, he falls in love with her because he is a really nice guy at heart....LOL. Of course this is normal peace time,,,, that would not happen now, unless the girl you meet is into that....;)
sounds similar in concept to "Passengers", which I thought was a fantastic love story!

of course everyone else I've talked to thought it was corney :(

Just re-watched a Norwegian movie, "Headhunters" (original title: "Hodejegerne"). It's about an executive headhunter who has a 'side hobby' of stealing valuable fine art paintings.

Saw this first at the SF Film Festival in 2012. Didn't remember much before I re-watched this movie, but I do remember that I thought it was a good movie. Now, after watching it the 2nd time, I still think it is a great thriller. Excellent plot with strong acting.

Most people really hated it. I wasn't able to watch parts of it. It was very disturbing. But I know it's a great metaphor. I don't think many people truly understood it and I don't blame them.
how can anyone hate a movie with mockingjay in it ?
