Thanks for your recommendation. Saw an hour of it last night, and enjoyed it. Will be finishing it tonight.Charley Varrick (1973) - Very impressive Don Siegel crime thriller
Watched Twister. Liked it the five or six times, liked it now.
I saw it in SFO/Redwood City at a 50 cent theater in 1996. Helen Hunt.
Just remembered that scene of the mother making that massive feast for everyone. I guess I think of food A LOT !!
Don't tease me, bro !Merry Christmas........................................

Is it a remake of Blue is the Warmest Color ?"Carol"
Girl meets girl. Fine Blanchett and Mara but slower than molasses
Marsian has and will be nominated picture of the year. You must be new here.
THere are at least a dozen movies, if not two, which he has called the best movie in the history of movies. It's his standard line. We've learned to just chuckle and go on
Ohayo / Good Morning (1959) - Ozu.
Delightful film.
Full of flatulence jokes, so sureshs should love it !

Haven't seen that in years, due for a rewatchI am still in the middle of the 3:21 JFK (Dir cut).
Saw it two year back with my father. Now showing it to mum.
Sounds like Otis on the Andy Griffith Show.Saw Support Your Local Sheriff. Saw it as a kid when it first came out. It was a different kind of movie back then- didn't take itself seriously- mocked the genre, droll. Best part was putting the guy in a jail that had no bars.
Did you watch in a cinema or at home? I heard the cinematography is quite spectacular,I might go and see it next week. The Revenant - 2015. Alejandro Gonzales Innaritu. Di Caprio, Tom Hardy, Will Poulter.
The story somehow did not hold my interest. I read that a lot of the scenes were real, no CGI. DiCap was afraid of getting hypothermia at one point. Won't reveal other things that were real for fear of spoiling.
Saw at home from a screener. It hasn't been released yet.Did you watch in a cinema or at home? I heard the cinematography is quite spectacular,I might go and see it next week.
Hitch-Hike (1977). Solid thriller
Saw "Jurassic World" the other day. Just a remake of the previous 2 or 3, except this one with a dinosaur with Jedi like powers. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars tops.
Seen an hour an a half of Trumbo (2015). Bryan Cranston.
Very interesting. Biographical movie set in the 1940's, a screen writer Daniel Trumbo who wrote the screenplay of Roman Holiday and others. Also, parts of the life of the famous actor Edward G Robinson.
My nephew was here. I suggested we watch The Big Short. Then he mentioned Trumbo.Admit it, the only way you watched it is because of Bryan Cranston, yes? On The other hand I know you like movies from bygone years.

I agreed but said I can't find any subtitles, but he was adamant since he wishes to be a writer. So we started it ... the fact the it had Cranston certainly helped.
I will be rooting for him to win the GG and/or AA. Although, lemme see the other movies before I decide.
I was reading up on Edward G Robinson and had no idea he had a pretty tough life, escaping persecution in Romania in 1903. He was anti-Na__zi and anti-Fascist but had a bad time during the anti-Commie days in the 40's. it affected his career adversely.
btw, we were discussing The Revenant, and I sort of remember several parallels with Aguirre the Wrath of God. The voyage through jungles, the fights with the natives, etc.
