I believe it was Federer, but I've become a satirist so I voted Nadal, because whatever Federer does, Nadal has done it better. "It is known"

Nadal has also ended the last 18 years in the top 10 of the rankings. None of Federer, Novak or Connors have ended that many consecutive years in the top 10 since the introduction of computer rankings. Rosewall probably matches that or comes close based on his achievements I would guess.

Rosewall was ranked #2 in the world on his 41st birthday. He was ranked inside the top 40 on his 44th birthday. As far as slams go, he won his first slam title in 1953 and his last one in 1972. And lastly, from 1953-1977, he made a slam semi in 24 out of those 25 years.

Rosewall takes the cake here.

In terms of playing at a high level while also playing in a field that isn't super weak, I guess it has to be Federer.

Nadal is probably in second with how long he's remained in the top 10

Here, as well. Ken won 4 slams past 33, when the OE began .He also won 3 other Pro Majors over Laver past 30, as well as 2 WCT titles at 37 and 37.8 over Rod.

At the moment, I would give it to Rosewall, because he was competitive into his 40s (reached slam finals around the age of 40, and won a few with 35+ years).
But Djokovic could overtake him.

Rosewall won the USO at 35.10 years of age. the AO at 36 and 37, 2 WCT titles at 37.1 and 37.7. He reached the Wimbledon and USO finals at 39.8 and 39.10. In those days ther were NO medical treatments, or locker room breaks. I do think though players could take a locker room break before a fifth set, if both agreed. Ken won 6 tournaments past 40, beating Nastase when he was the #3 player in five sets final and another 3 set final against Nastase when he was ranked #9. In those days it was very rare for a player to win slams past 31.

Rosewall (being born in 1934) also reached the semis of Australian Open in 1976 and 1977. That’s crazy stuff right there.
Being around age 43 back then.
