Which player do you like best and which player do you hate the most?

Federer is my favorite. I also like Nadal, Delpo, Tsonga, and Thiem among active players, though I suppose that’s kinda stretching the definition of “active” with some of them, isn’t it? I do like Murray too, but I don’t enjoy watching him actually on the court as much as those guys. Past players? Roddick for sure.

As for least favorite, I’d love to say Djokovic (because a small but very vocal portion of his fans have been incredibly annoying as of late) but I actually don’t dislike him. He’s just “meh” for me, though my opinion of him has improved since his first few years on the tour: the same goes with Fed. My answer until quite recently would have been the guy in my avatar, but now I have to switch with my second least-favorite: Tsitsipas. I’d also like to say Kyrgios but I just don’t care enough about him to hate him lol

Personally I like Djokovic best and hate Federer the most. For me, as a non Westerner, never been that fond of Western players. On top of that, Federer for me is very obnoxious and boring with 0 energy off court. Djokovic has good sense of humor.
Nadal
Bernard Tomic

Djokovic Kyrgios

Although there have been plenty of bellends in the ATP over the years for me to choose from instead of Kyrgios. Koellerer and Tarango come to mind.

Federer my favorite, the real deal when it comes down to how to execute shots and move gracefully and smoothly on the court, and an actual honest and humble guy, yeah I really think so. Djokovic the second one, a warrior of the utmost courage and tenacity, and the mental goat alongside Petros. Technically a pleasure to watch, too.

I can't bear the fake humbleness of Rafa Nadal and Toni. They are phoney. Fearful player, though, and we Federerians have suffered his fearful pounding shots to Roger beautiful but kinda shaky backhand.

When it comes down to past legends, Boris, Connors and McEnroe.

Nadal's fake humbleness? Did you watch his interviews? He was like this even as a kid, before he was famous. And you consider Federer to be humble...

Nadal and Serena. If we’re just talking dudes it’s tougher to pick a bottom of the barrel. All of that anti-vaxxing, body can purify dirty water crap makes me really dislike Novak, but then the Robin Hood fighting for the little guy stuff certainly offsets it some.

I don't hate anyone, although some behaviours irritate me. Kyrgios and Tsitsipas being twats on social media; Paire and Tomic when they're tanking; Cilic, Nadal, Djojovic et al ball-bouncing endlessly and turning three-hour matches into five-hour ones; anyone who towels themselves down in the first game of the match; half the ATP and WTA tours with their loud grunts that I consider hindrance (I think Vesnina and Sonego are the worst offenders just now, but there's dozens of 'em).

I like anyone nowadays who isn't the Big 3. (Please God just make them stop, it's been 18 years already, it is SO boring.) Probably Medvedev mostly because he seems to thrive on people disliking him, which reminds me of my '80s favourite Lendl.

From the distant past, I like the players who had stories to tell. The ones who really added to tennis lore. Jaroslav Drobny, Gardnar Mulloy, Vic Seixas, R Norris Williams, Alice Marble, Althea Gibson, Arthur Ashe, Pancho Gonzales, and the guys who kept the pro tour going with Kramer.

Peak Nalbandian GOAT.
Like heaps of other players, Verdasco, Rios, Blake, Wawrinka, Peak Tsonga, Peak Dustin Brown, Federer, Kyrgios, BernieGOAT etc etc

Player out of left field I like is Jonas Bjorkman, I try to play that style.

Pretend to hate Nadal to troll Vamos who are the worst fanbase of any sport in history.

Really try to like Novak, but he makes it so hard with the fake love hearts & trying to be nice. Its like Vlad the Impaler trying to fit in at an English Tea Party. Wish he'd just embrace his inner heel and start revelling in being the bad guy. Take notes from WWE. If he embraced his inner heel he'd be a Juggernaut of tennis history.

Player I hate is the Lowland Vulture. Murray. Guy is a whining, screaming, PED abusing, self-hating janissary. and his style of tennis sucks.
He is not a true Scot. He should list his nationality as Vulture.

I like Fed and the good tennis. :)

I don't really dislike any player, but do dislike premature hype which often isn't deserved or hasn't been earned, and I dislike the moronic mainstream media/sports media hype merchants.

Of current players, off the top of my head:

Like: Federer, Nadal, Murray, Wawrinka, Del Potro, Tsonga, V Williams, S Williams, Barty, Stephens, Kvitova, Hsieh

Indifferent to: Tsitsipas, Medvedev, Thiem, Halep, Azarenka, Osaka, Muguruza

Dislike: Cilic (Doper), Zverev (Arrogant), Kyrgios (Jerk), Gasquet (waste of talent)

Novak Djokovic comes far below any of the above.

And what do you consider "non Westerner"?

As tennis players, I like a few - Federer, Hsieh, Gasquet, Monfils. They all have playing styles that are nice to watch. (That's active players only, of course.)

Don't hate anyone. Don't think we should imply that people hate other people.
