Will Lord Fedr be seeded 4 for Wimb 2017?

So Murray - 11930, Djokovic - 7395, Nadal - 7318, Stan - 6490 and Roger - 6475 as per the grass rankings

Roger's points include the 45 x 2 guaranteed points because of match win at Halle. So if Federer wins one more match at Halle, he crosses Stan and becomes 4th seed. Stan can no longer gain points after losing at Queens. Murray, Nadal and Novak also cannot gain points

If he wins Halle, Roger gains an additional 910 points. Then he ends up at 7385 points. Crosses Nadal but still short of Novak. So best is #3 seed and that doesn't make a difference with #4 seed.

So let's hope he wins his next match vs Mischa Zverev and gets into top 4 seeding at Wimbledon.

Only 10 points short if he wins Halle! Arghh

I wouldn't worry too much if you're a Fed Fan. The tougher the draw the better he seems to play. His Aussie Open draw was brutal and he made it through. If the top guys were playing really well, then yes, it makes a big difference. But the only top guy that is playing well is Rafa, and he's going to have a hard time moving on grass and an even harder time making the second week of the tournament.

He could still be seeded #3 ... Not that it matters in terms of the draw. :)

yeah perhaps someone more well versed than me in seeding/draws can explain whether or not there any difference at all between no.3 and no.4. I can't see any, but at the very least he has cemented no.4

No difference. Seed 1 is on quarter 1, seed 2 in quarter 4, seeds 3 and 4 are randomly assigned to quarters 2&3.

I guess the only difference is that #3 means you go up to #2 if one of the top two pulls out before the draw ...

Yep..That's the only benefit. Very slim chance though. Djoker would still play even if he is 5% in confidence.

Congrats! Would have wished Stan got a Top 4 seed, though. The last time the Big Four was all seeded at the top in a Slam was Wimbledon 2014, but Stan was actually I think #3 at that time (just like this year too). If you are a Fedal fanatic then the #3/#4 pairing of the two means they will only meet at the Final.
