Gonzo-Mayer, 3-2*.

This Mayer guy has a really huge FH and not a weak BH either. I saw him at the French Open and was pleasently surprised by his game and he has been impressive so far today. He is making Gonzo's FH look second best. I don't know why Mayer isn't ranked higher.

Roddick is going to kill melzer again, Easy Match for A-rod.. he's a direct shoo in for the 4th round. MELZER is waste of TALENT. He has never beaten Roddick! and it doesn't like he's start now!

Really looking forward to tomorrow now. The matchups start to be better and more competitive. I'm looking forward especially to Karlovic-Tsonga, because I really like both players. Federer-Kohlschreiber, battle of onehanders, Djokovic-Fish (possible upset?) and Haas-Cilic (will go the distance I think)are all very interesting. Even the matches on the outside courts like Soderling-Almagro could be good. In for a crackin day tomorrow.

Damn right we are! The match ups (particularly in the bottom half of the draw) are looking really great now, lots of tight ones, and even the ones that shouldn't be tight look like being interesting anyway ^_^

Allez Gilles!!:D

Nice to see him through in four. Anyone been watching? How was he playing?

Next round Hanescu, rematch of the FO. I think he has what is needed to win from what I remember of that match. He lost it somehow, it was very frustrating. I hope it doesn't bring bad memories to him.

Almagro has been playing better in the first two matches here than he did the entire clay court season after his title. I'm thinking he'll be a big threat tomorrow to Soderling.

The match looked like a complete routing, but Roiddick squandered all four of his break points in the third, then threw in a double fault and a couple rally errors on his own serve and all of a sudden he'd lost the set. It still lappears he's going to get through this without going to any desperate lengths, but if he keeps pushing his way through rallies and throwing in ugly service games here and there like he's done in both his first two matches, he could be in serious trouble once he gets into the big matches.

He really did pick up his ground game in the 4th set though. He was crushing the ball off both sides.

At this moment is raining at Wimbledon. So probably today we will see the roof closed on center court

I just heard them talking about that on radio wimbledon. A reporter from the grounds was telling sam lloyd that the roof is closed at the moment, didnt know what time it had been closed ... however, i guess it was a meteorologist who gave a report stating he didnt believe it would be remaining closed for the day.

ps i guess the murray comment in your sig is a joke? (given your avatar.) did you see the gulbis match? murray played super well, gulbis was kindof stupid (worst shot selection i've seen in a long time).

yeah.,.it's the follow-up of Sentinel's RG jinx campaign!;)
No,I didn't get to watch the match, only follow through the scoreboard, but as much as I like Gulbis,I didn't really expect of him to win a set against Murray. He hasn't got past the second round of a tournament for a year now.:? very very bad (mental) slump he is in.

i guess so. i haven't watched gulbis since roddick vs gulbis at uso 2008, and he kinda looks lost on court now..

Anyone watching the Sela-Robredo match? It's very good so far - lots of great net points and the most beautiful 1HBH (Sela's) on tour at the moment (as Gasquet is gone).

Good to know Sela's doing well.

Haas and Cilic just got underway, should be an interesting match.

Awesome tennis. Best match I've seen this Wimbeldon so far. Lots of great points from the net and great backhands from Sela. If only he had a decent serve...:-(

youre obviously online now, so why can't you watch it there ... er, here ... :)

I prefer watching on a large TV screen than a tiny livestream which is jerky most of the time. My internet is slow. i think they will move to Nole after this set.

This guy's backhand is unbelievable. If only he had a better serve he'd be a top 10 player IMO.
Someone who stumbles by this thread is gonna be saying: i don;t know how Sela is soooo overrated on this forum, someone was saying he could take the whole thing.

;-)

I think tomorrow's top half of the draw looks a lot less interesting than the bottom half. I expect Roddick and Murray to come through far too easy, and don't give Ferrero much of a chance either. The only match that could be something special is Davydenko-Berdych imo.

I never watched that Sela dude. And I can't find any video on Youtube.

Is that backhand really so scary?

i stopped watching when i noticed tommy was being crabby about crowd support for dudi .... maybe he allowed that negativity to creep into his mind ....... gotta congratulate the diminutive israeli! :D
