Congrats.

Mou's Community Shield tradition suggests Man United will be the Premier League champions. :p

Ibra post match interview. hahah Such a troll, making sure to remind us that Sweden beat England 4-2.

Can hear them talking about the lack of restriction up front, not so rigid. Wow, we're actually allowed to move about. Not getting carried away after one game, but it is good to hear.

Looks like Mourinho scared Mata with that substitution, but he just wanted to bring off the shortest player and defend a one goal lead. :D

Yeah, Leicester will be lucky to finish in the top half.

Well, I guess I'm ITK then

Carra's tweet reacting to the news. "FFS" :p

Yes, ridiculous if you ask me, especially for the away fans travelling to the ground. I think our Friday night game is Chelsea at Stamford Bridge...

Yeah, that is a good point. I was just thinking about me having nothing to do on Friday and there being a match on. Monday Night makes sense or maybe that is just what I'm used to, but football is all about Saturday/Sunday, with your European, league cup games and whatever in midweek. Not so sure about Friday.

Paris Saint Germain have signed Jese from Real Madrid on a five year deal.

A very quiet transfer window for the Los Blancos, that's odd. I don't know how do they plan to defend the Champions League title, they were unconvincing when they won it last season...

Meanwhile, Pogba has arrived in Manchester and is having a medical. Deal to be announced probably tomorrow.

Two good pals will be united once again. Hopefully Old Trafford will be seeing a lot of Dab this season. :)

One of the longest sagas ever is finally over.

It's official. Paul Pogba has returned to Manchester United for a record breaking 93.2 million pounds or 110 million euros.

He has signed a five year contract with an option to extend for a further year.

Welcome back mate. All the best in the new chapter of your career. :)

Juventus have posted a thank you video to Paul Pogba. As a Bianconero, the 23 year old Frenchman played 178 games and scored 34 goals.

The Prodigal Son returns video was also posted yesterday by one of Man United's fans. For all of the club's fans, this channel is creating really good videos.

Stones to City, nearly 48m. Everton definitely need to buy a centre back now.

Grujic the next Steven Gerrard?

I'm joking, of course. Hope he achieves with us half of what Stevie has, will be more then enough for me.

Also, check this out, decent trailer by BT Sport ahead of the new season.

Finally over with. Looking forward to see him play. Sweet. In time for the first game.

Cant see him starting the first game, against Bournemouth away isnt it? Will probably make his debut at OT.

Good business for Everton there and no mistake. Also though I think pretty good for Man City, though the money is crazy of course, money isn't really important and it's a position that has been a problem for them for quite some time. Never found the suitable partner for Kompany in that defence and now I think they finally have, not to mention him being perfect for Pep's style.

Apparently Everton got Williams lined up 12 million. Certainly fills that position well but not a long term solution.

Yeah keep hearing good things about Grujic but only seen him in the Barca game, that header was gorgeous of course. Hopefully he can push on and do well.

Not bad, probably the best thing BT will produce all season. Has to be the worst football coverage ever. Terrible pundits terrible commentators. They spent so much to get so many matches, you'd think they'd put a bit of money into getting some bearable pundits.

Everton going to pay 25-30 million pounds for Yannick Bolasie.

Bolasie for that amount is like Liverpool panic buying Carroll.

Real Madrid win the UEFA Super Cup after a dramatic 3-2 extra time win over Sevilla.

After Asensio's opener, Vazquez and Konoplyanka turned it around for Sevilla, but Sergio Ramos added another injury time equalizer in his resume, while Carvajal scored the winner in the 119th minute.

Yep, United are just as bad as City. Like Houllier said, they're just a factory nowadays, not a football club.

To put it into perspective, Liverpool signed Mane, Klavan, Matip, Grujic, Karius for 48m.
City signed Stones for 48m.
City signed Stones and Sterling for a combined 98m.

Just saying like.

Bolasie for 30m is madness, although he will improve the bitters. Expect Palace to come back for tekkers now, will probably meet our valuation this time, props to the club for not caving in were pretty much getting our money back, sound business. Expect one more fullback signing, hopefully sooner rather then later.

All I see is someone pasting stuff from media outlets. Zero critical thought.

How much is Pogba's transfer per season? 20m? Let's add 14m salary for good measure. 34 m on 500m revenue. Ouch!!!

Crazy amount of revenue from United in recent years despite inconsistency on the pitch. I am not too surprised with the way they are using that power, I just hope they will mix their own youngsters there as well instead of the team being full of "Galacticos". City are just being City with their transfer business this summer.

I guess United's fans can at least say their history wasn't built on huge spending, while City started writing their own that way.

I rate Manchester clubs' signings higher, but considering we are talking about 5 players that Liverpool brought, that definitely wasn't a lot of money spent.

How much did Mane cost? From the bits I saw him when he played at Southampton, he was impressive.

Would you call Pogba our youngster or a Galactico? :D

Shaw, Martial, Rashford, Lingard, Bailly and Pogba are notable young players. That's not bad.

I definitely don't like some of the transfer fees though because the club are now a potential laughing stock if the team doesn't perform on the pitch.

A bit of both. ;)

It's good for now, but who knows what will the next transfer windows look like. I think Mou is done for this summer.

Oh well, you laughed for decades at others, it's only fair you suffer for a few years too. :p

It isn't? Try copying the URL of the video maybe it's not working through TTW (although it's fine for me).

@Slice'n'dice, rats!! I rate Williams, think he's one of the best on his position, will definitely improve Everton. 12m seems pretty low, although considering his age I guess it's fair.

Oh no I agree he's a great centre back. Demonstrated it once more this past Euros. But he is getting on so I don't know how long he'll go on for at that level.

Yeah it is a lot. Bit different to Carroll though as at least he should suit Everton better than Carroll did Liverpool. He is a good player (not that Carroll is terrible) but yeah that's crazy money. Everton's transfers are going to be a bit more expensive though now, people know about the windfall. Especially if they sell Lukaku as well for the sort of money that's talked about.

Shaw, Bailly, Martial are not Man United's youngsters though. They bought all of them for an insane amount of money. It's like saying Sterling or Stones are Man City youngsters. I'll give you Rashford and Lingard.

Is right. :D

As for Mane agreed he was arguably Southamptons best player, fantastic at times albeit inconsistent. Hopefully Klopp sorts him out. We bought him for 32m according to the Echo.

Define insane. :D

I was talking about youngsters we have in our squad in general, not just the academy boys. Rashford and Lingard are academy boys; Shaw, Baily and Martial are transfers while Pogba is both.

Depay isn't a flop yet. Maybe I can call him a flop later on in the season, but not everybody is destined to be a success right at the beginning. If he does nothing this season and disappears then he can be called a flop.

I just checked on your wikipedia page he was 34 million pounds, only one million short of your most expensive transfer. That's a low number, when are you guys going to catch up to the rest? ;)

Well yeah Sky reported 34m as well, I choose to believe the Echo and James Pearce over them. And indeed, our most expensive signing is Carroll and we all know how it worked out, probably one of the worst panic buys of all time, the fact that Torres ****ed off hours before the end of the transfer window deffo contributed to what came after.

I don't care about holding the transfer record and all that nonsense, unike some United fans who were seemingly desperate for the club to break it. In fact, I like us to spend as little as possible in terms of net spend and promote our youth, give them a chance in the first team, whilst being successful on the pitch. That's why I think Klopp is made for Liverpool and why I appreciate our owners, I'd hate to have an Abramovich here as weird as that sounds to some. Leave the stars and the galacticos to the likes of Madrid and Bayern, I want players who want to play for Liverpool, work their socks off for the team and have that special connection with the fans. Call me romantic or whatever but that's what Liverpool is all about, you can buy presidents, big planes, fancy yachts and tons of pies for fat Frank... but you can never buy our history (brilliant banner).

Rant over :p

Is it Sunday yet :D
