What did I do to trigger a rant like this?
The "when are you guys gonna catch up" bit. Hopefully never. surely as a barca fan you see where I'm coming from? Or is the "more then a club" stuff just a myth?

It's definitely not a myth. I was joking around a bit because you and maybe Arsenal are now the only big English teams who haven't had mega transfer fees on one player or big summer spending sprees. It's like you are not doing the current "popular thing" nowadays that other English giants do.The "when are you guys gonna catch up" bit. Be different if he was coming in during his prime like cold night hater Di Maria.
potential lineup.
The defence and midfield 2 looks a lot better. Not sure about the front 4 though if I'm honest, on paper it looks scary, but it looks a bit like fantasy football to me. Interesting to see how it works in reality though!
Only Ramos and Lahm left, 150 million will do the trick, that's not much money, no?
Yeah, almost like the 236(I think) formation that Jeff Stelling is planning to use for his fantasy football team this year. Crazy mind bender.
Going to be hopefully the last season where United start their matches 10 vs 11 (Rooney being the obvious handicap).
He is a winger too. It's not Mata we are talking about, Mkhi isn't wasted that way if he is put on the sides.Totally agree, whenever I've seen Mkhitaryan in the hole/number 10.. He's been incredible. He scores goals for fun and creates a lot of chances. Sticking him out wide is a huge waste.
Put him where Rooney is and find a winger from somewhere would improve that potential lineup massively imo.

Depay and Lingard weren't included in that potential line-up, one of them can play on the wing if Mkhi is put in the middle instead of Wazza.
Baily, Shaw and Martial for nearly 122 million looks pretty insane to me, no?
Weren't Arsenal runners-up last season?Recently promoted Hull City and probably the main contender for relegation defeated champions of England Leicester City 2-1 in season's opener. EPL unpredictability on display immediately on the first match.
Runners-up Tottenham held at Goodsion Park.
Ex-Red Devil McNair scored a late own goal on his Sunderland debut to gift Pep an unconvincing debut win with City.

Yes, my bad. I went by Spurs being the closest chaser to Leicester and totally forgot they had a meltdown in the last several games.Weren't Arsenal runners-up last season?
Even after being sold, McNair is giving us problems by gifting rivals the points...Spurs really should have beaten Everton, that new signing Jansen missed a couple of sitters in the second half. Hull Leicester was a pretty dire match, but obviously fantastic win for Hull. Man City were below average tbh, still early days though. McNair is an absolute knob, ****ing useless lol
I hope those players who leave will move abroad or all go to Sunderland. That way our former employees can gift City the points at most two times per season.Even after being sold, McNair is giving us problems by gifting rivals the points...
lolz He did it.
I've seen enough. Put a shirt on.
Joe Hart dumped because he can't play sweeper.
Drops a keeper because he can't play centre back and plays his fullbacks as central midfielders..
Feels like I've left Football Manager on the laptop and my 3 year old has run amok.
Arsenal and Liverpool deliver a great match once again. Beautiful goal from Coutinho and Mane as well as Oxlade-Chamberlain.
@TheMuzziah did you enjoy that one?
Can't wait to see United against some real opposition and not a Mugfield smoking 70s dope.
I bet @TheMuzziah is going crazy. hahahah
I see myself and Emperor have the same idea.
All jokes aside, I probably would have been happy with a 1-0. Vital to not lose points against teams you should be beating, especially at this early stage. Away from home first game. Good stuff.
You really sold on the story about Mata being assured of his future at the club? The past proves that whenever someone receives such reassurances - be it player or coach - they are usually sent packing.United win 3-1.
Mata capitalized on the defensive mistake, nice to know he isn't going anywhere. Rooney unimpressive but his header puts him now only 3 goals behind Charlton. Ibra gets his second goal in as many games. Bailly solid again as well.
Overall, nice first game.
Good games coming up today. Arsenal-Liverpool, Dortmund-Bayern and Sevilla-Barcelona.
I am. He is in the manager's plans and has done a good job in this short period that's pre-season and two competitive games. Unless Mou is desperate for another big signing in these two weeks, and even then it's not sure, I don't see Mata leaving now.You really sold on the story about Mata being assured of his future at the club? A shame but I also never warmed to him. He's too nice.
He should never have arrived.Schweinsteiger is the one that is certain to leave.
****ing buzzing lads... What a day,,,what a ****ing day wow... Last 15 minutes massive heart palpitation, classic Liverpool that,, hopefully we improve the defence coz my nerves won't take another season full of games like this...lol
Voice is gone but still absolutely great to be back!!!!!!!

Dont miss Match of the Day tomorrow night. Gary Lineker special.
Absolutely ****ing sweet, not to mention Murray winning in an absolutely cracking final in the Olympics bronze medal match wasn't bad either, good to see the 100m too, pretty damn good day of sport on the whole. You go to the game then did you? Must've been good.
Yeah Murray winning the gold was the icing on the cake really. I wish I did mate, don't do as many aways as I used to in the past, haven't got the time anymore, pretty much relying on spares these days for the away tickets. Thinking for Palace next away if I'm lucky. I've got every home game sorted (until New Years) though, so Leicester will be my official debut!
Yeah a really excellent match as well. ****ing sweet!
You got a season ticket or you just buy tickets to each match as it comes? Don't get to go to many myself, used to live in Liverpool until a year ago so I got to some games, haven't been for ages though, had a mate who had a season ticket though and sometimes his Dad was away and or wasn't able to go to games so I got to go along then.
I am shocked.Costa should have been off. New season, same old, Costa being Costa and Chelsea being Chelsea. As for Conte, haven't really watched him before but he does look like a bellend. Will fit right in there if that's the case. Pathetic celebrations.
