Djokovic servebotted the whole set and then double faults and missed another 1st serve, letting Cilic back into the tiebreak. Then hits a forehand error. What a collapse there when the match was on his racket.

Yeah, I forgot that Cilic lost last year's final after having Championship point. Kinda seems fitting that he'll go on to win this year's tournament after saving one.

the forehand error was forced by Cilic. Novak's only fault in the breaker was the DF.

Besides Cilic was way worse in the game he got broken in the 1st set , at 5 all, with like 5 or 6 UEs (incl. 2 DFs) and having missed a couple of BP chances due to UEs.

Djokovic had this match and he blinked. It's going to much harder now especially with Cilic serving 1st. If Cilic wins this he deserves it because he took his chances when he had them.

Djokovic really just isn’t a killer anymore. He lacks a certain competitive drive and will to win that he once had. He may be back in form but his ‘win no matter what’ mindset hasn’t come back.

Cilic's ball bouncing is as bad as Novak's used to be, tbh.
its annoying

and I like Cilic's game in general. can be awesome when he's on.

Djokovic double faulted and hit a short second serve the next point. That was two mishaps that let Cilic back into it.

Runners up seem to have championships points in this tournament pretty often. Lopez in '14 and Cilic last year. Hope it won't be the case now, would be the first one for Novak (the only one who hasn't lost from this position of the big 4).

He chickened out in the tiebreak. Had the mini break, but let Cilic dictate play... again...
