I’ve heard there’s a scheme to bring the two clubs closer together. Arsenal and Spurs are planning on making a pilgrimage to Stamford Bridge. Sure, it’s behind a glass wall, but it’ll be nice for them to be as close as they’ll ever get to the Champions League trophy  misery loves company :D
Russian money can buy you a lot of things. :p

At least Arsenal and Spurs existed before 2003. ;)

Arsenal - B
Chelsea - B+
Fulham - A
Liverpool - A+
City - C
United - C
Wolves - B+
Tottenham - ''expelled'' LOL It actually says that.

No surprise to see Liverpool top. I'd also hand them A+

Not like Chelsea were in the Champions League quarters in 2000 whilst Arsenal were in the UEFA Cup ;)

Arsenal could only wish they were existing these days if those are the standards :p

Thursday football is not as bad as you think. Being a contender and having a shot for any continental honor is nice.
Guilty as @Poisoned Slice said but Spurs do have history.

Not very good history albeit but that’s besides the point...:D
Chelsea were no strangers to high league finishes and decent runs in Europe before Abramovich to be fair.

City on the other hand... 100% plastic. :D

Sevilla have beaten Zalgiris 1-0 at home in the 1st leg of 3rd Europa League qualifying round. The 2nd leg is in seven days, but the Andalusians have another game before that on Sunday - Supercopa in Morocco.

As the opening league game is less than 24 hours away, I wish good luck to each of your favorite Premier League clubs this season.

Thank you. Best wishes to Barca too! I’ll be rooting for them to win the treble treble. ;)

We need all the luck we can get. First few fixtures are brutal.

Messi was nominated for the 2017/18 UCL best forward alongside Ronaldo and Salah , what a joke , Mane and Firmino deserves that place , Damn even Cavani and Neymar have similisr stats to Messi in less games

Have to admit, I like Pep. He’s very knowledgable about the game and seems like a cool guy.

Our Europa League third qualifying round tie hangs in the balance after last night's goalless draw with Molde. Three changes were made to our team - the injured Adam Bogdan and departed John McGinn were unavailable, replaced by Ross Laidlaw and Vykintas Slivka respectively, while Oli Shaw dropped out and was replaced by Flo Kamberi. I was surprised to see Jamie Maclaren on the bench, with Martin Boyle favoured alongside Kamberi.

The game almost started with a bang as after five minutes, Stevie Mallan shot from distance, with his shot crashing off the bar, and the rebound flew just over Boyle's head. We created few chances to score, with Kamberi often isolated in the box, and Molde had a golden one, but instead of shooting when put one-on-one with Laidlaw, one of their forwards attemptrd to pull the ball back, and his pass was intercepted by Paul Hanlon.

The second half continued in a similar vein. Molde were neat and tidy on the ball, but struggled to make chances, whereas we looked solid but not dangerous enough. We had chances to score, though - David Gray soared gracefully through the air like a bald salmon and headed Mallan's corner towards goal, but the Molde keeper made a fine save. We had a chance to win it at the end, with Gray nodding the ball down for Emerson Hyndman to have a shot which was pushed away by the keeper, and Shaw failed to convert the rebound from six yards out.

Overall it was a solid enough performance, though the team lacks the drive of McGinn in midfield. Efe Ambrose strolled through the game, Ryan Porteous looks a fine defender but his distribution needs work, and Hyndman looks like he could be an excellent signing. If we can pinch a goal away from home, I'm confident in getting through, as while they were a decent team on the ball, they seem to lack any sort of threat in the box.

For the St Johnstone game, I'm expecting Hyndman to start, Kamberi, who looked off the pace today, to get a rest, and Maclaren to get the full 90 minutes to get himself used to playing in the team again. Also hopeful that Thomas Agyepong's visa is cleared up by Sunday so he can get some game time.

Zenit lost 4-0 to Dinamo Minsk last night, which could open up a path to the group stages for us. Then again, I'm not sure I'd fancy playing Minsk off the back of that result...

Thanks.

And good luck to Barcelona in Super Cup and Copa del Rey I guess. :p

Messi is officially the new FC Barcelona captain. Busquets is the vice-captain, while Pique and Roberto are behind him as 3rd and 4th respectively.

Gonna do well in the first few games, everyone will get hyped, then reality will strike again. Thanks to all the excessive criticism that happens, we will fly under the radar and end up winning the Champions League.

LOL who am I kidding. The quiet transfer window makes me wanting to skip to the next summer already.

Coutinho finally got a Portuguese passport and with that there are now only three non-EU players in the squad, meaning none of them will have to be excluded from Sunday's Supercopa or any La Liga fixtures for that reason.

Is there a better love story than Barcelona and Messi? :p

I know how you feel.

Literally.

United’s transfer window was a carbon copy of Arsenal’s from 2008-2014.

Messi's first match as Barcelona no. 10 was in a pre-season friendly against Hibs. To this day he still tells the tale of the time he was on the same pitch as Lewis Stevenson
This it? Sorry for the terrible music.

Not watching but see that Utd got a pen.

Refs already favouring United? Would be typical.

Apparently it was Sanchez who was “fouled”

That tells me everything I need to know. :D

Watching now.

If I know Jose then he will now park the bus and sit it out for a 1-0 win.

If I was a United fan I’d be pretty worried about Darmian being in the squad...
