I hate it when people compare Fed to ballerinas

I don’t think being a metrosexual should be considered feminine in the 21th century. There’s nothing wrong with men trying to look good. If a man going to gym aiming to be more buff is considered a good thing, so should be caring about looks and fashion. Women should seriously learn to appreciate that.
Thing is, it doesn't look good the metrosexual look. Even in this century. Actually it has nothing to do with this time as gentlemen before dressed very nice. Weren't more matcho before.

That's generalising and enforcing your opinions. As I have mentioned earlier, what floats the boat for you does not float my boat. The least we can do is be respectful of each others' choices.

Yeah I’m with ya. I’m a bit obsessed with my hair looking good and all that.

Maybe I’m a metrosexual too? :D

This is even beyond metrosexual look, its more like "the transgender" look.

maybe, I don't know how you look so I can't make a judgement.

Would you use a hair straightener to get the right look for the day?

Haven't any of you ever heard of Nijinsky, Nureyev or Baryshnikov? As if comparing Federer to a dancer is supposed to be some sort of slight against his manliness... The man is so nimble and light on his feet comparing him to folks from ballet makes perfect sense, especially when contrasted with the way all the other top guys play.

Sometimes you just have to make that fringe look good, no? Sure you don't have a secret basket with hair styling equipment? ;)
I use some hair styling products yes. :D

I like to look somewhat good. I didn’t use to care about my hair in high school. Didn’t brush it or anything, I would wake up, have a shower, dry it then go to school. :D maybe some like it better that way? It was a bit of a mess though.

As long as you are clean and smell fresh, no nose hairs. You are good to go :D
Myself I just brush my hair, thats all. Never use any hair styling products. But my hair is long and not much to do. I often braid it.
Never have time for make up or even looking in the mirror in the morning.
All natural :D

Yeah I’ve never had problems with nose hairs. :D I’ve never had that much hair. Haven’t got a lot of hair on my arms and barely any at all on my legs and chest. Puberty didn’t grant me hair...well in those areas at least. :D

Maybe its because I am Scandinavian, but even for a man to gently color their hair is considered feminine here. Federer would be considered feminine in my culture. Its pretty much unheard of for a hetero man to be like him. The ones that are are not considered proper men. Just in USA and UK I found men at times to be too feminine for me. I don't like when men bleach their teeth and obsess about their hair. They put more effort in their looks than myself.
Only males that get away with a lot of styling are rock stars and punks.

Comparing Federer to a ballerina just means that most people find him graceful, which is a great attribute in an athlete. Yes Federer is metrosexual in that he cares about his appearance and is into fashion. It actually says he's more secure in his manhood than those that are afraid to care about their appearance because they're worried they might not look tough enough. Being a man doesn't mean opening beer bottles with your teeth, that's being a goon and the world has too many goons already.

And since when was tennis known as a tough guy sport? They wear short pants and have girly arms.

Oh and in his hey day Baryshnikov was a stud.

I don't care about Fed's looks.

But his game is definitely not feminine. What he does on court, with his reflexes make other men look like a child in front of him. That's the truth.

Look at how he embarrasses a 6,6 built guy like Berdych.

On the same point, when commentators make his game more like Poetry than Athleticism, I find it ridiculous. The guy is one of the best athletes on the planet. He is not an artist or anything. Best footwork in tennis ever.

When Fed is hitting those inside out forehands with amazing acceleration, it doesn't look like a ballet.

When people add stupid music to it and focus on his movements in slow motion, it does. Fed doesn't play in slow motion.

Fixed it for you:
And when people SEE this in a tennis player they scream JUICED, my point is proven. :p
Put it in present tense. Those "juiced" comments are happening right now.

Though I've said for years no man gets arms like that without doing bicep work, which you can actually see in a least one picture of Coric doing curls.

Nadal didn't get those arms hitting groundstrokes.

I don't know what is the current claim, but until around 2010/11, the going to version (of both Nadal and his fans around here) was that he didn't do any heavy lifting.

Everyone that I ever met and had an idea said that that is impossible with his physique.
