I love the cyber power too. Played the silver and white, mainly 1.25mm. White is softer than silver but both good for me. I am now testing nano white version, hoping to get somewhere in between the good pocketing of white and the crisp feel of silver.

Only one strange observation - in my first session with nano white 1.3mm, partner commented than I am hitting insane topspin on my groundstroke. More so than 1.25mm ....

Could you compare Cyber power and Cyber nano power to Concept which has good durability and pocketing too?

a stringer from a shop put me my usual firestorm signum, but playing, it sounded differently, less dynamic and more flexible .. did I get myself?

someone could have compared firestorm signum and pro's pro cyclone power?

in the same way, someone could have made a comparison between pro's pro concept and weisscannon scorpion? especially from the standpoint of comfort and tension stability?

i tried a few round polys, similar
pp.plus power
pp.vendetta
pp.nano.vendetta
and of course pp.red.devil
all pretty comfortable and cool colors
as for a black round poly
i choose to go with pp.black.force
i put 17g pp.blackout mains and 18g pp.blackforce crosses

can you compare pp.CP to any other pp.round poly?? what you liked, what you didnt like, etc..

My previous go to setup was BO mains & RD crosses.
I have tried BO & BF before. I found the BF & RD quite similar (soft & stretchy) so I stuck with RD as I had a reel.
Problem with BO is it dies really quick so was looking to find a new setup.
I wanted an arm friendly setup with decent spin, power, good pocketing & forgiveness.

Forgiveness bears some explanation. I am not referring to arm-friendliness but a stringbed that tolerated my stroke deficiencies.
Some setups were good but required a lot of precision at ball impact. A tad too open & my ball sails wide, a tad too closed, the ball lands short.
A forgiving setup would let me swing whichever way & the ball would land in. Not sure this makes sense.
I used weighted & matched Blade 104s (2015) which by themselves were forgiving flexy frames.

I tried several PP sets during my trials but I always used Red Devil as my crosses.
Plus Power - Ok but nothing special. Died quite fast.
Hexapin Twist - Made stringbed too stiff for my liking. Lacked forgiveness. Good spin.
Strategem 8 - Really liked this. Good spin & forgiveness but murder on the arm even when used as a hybrid!
Cyber Power - Soft yet had decent power. Very nice feel & directional control when crossed with RD. No arm issues for me. Very forgiving. Less than stellar strokes still resulted in a nice ball.

I thought I found my new setup but decided to kick things up a notch.
Decided to try some highly reviewed strings in fullbed.
RPM Blast - Hated it. Had to use spin all the time. Anytime I flattened my strokes, the ball would sail.
Kirschbaum PL Evo - Underwhelmed. Soft & comfortable but too muted & under-powered.
Signum Pro Xperience - Was really hoping for something amazing from all the good reviews it was getting. Similar to the PL Evo but better overall but still not to my liking. Under-powered & too muted. I had good control but felt disconnected with the stringbed due to the feel.

None of the higher priced setups could beat the PPCP main & RD cross setup.
Not wanting to give up I started crossing the above with RD.
RPM Blast - Still sucked.
Kirschbaum PL Evo - Still sucked
Signum Pro Xperience - Was ok. To my surprise the stringbed stiffened up significantly with the RD cross.

So decided to switch it up.
PPCP mains & Kirschbaum PL Evo cross - Decent with very satisfying sound at impact.
PPCP mains & Signum Xperience cross - This was the wow! The stringbed was softer & more forgiving. Very nice feel & directional control. Was just a little bit better in every way to the PPCP main & RD cross setup. Decent longevity too. I can get a good 12-15 hours from this setup.

So my go to setups are now:
PP Cyber Power (1.20mm white) mains + Signum Xperience (1.18mm) cross.
PP Cyber Power (1.20mm white) mains + PP Red Devil (1.24mm) cross

Bear in mind the following:
I play flexy Blade 104s strung 53lbs mains & cross.
I'm located in South Asia which is hot & balmy all year round.
Signum Xperience 1.18mm is more like 1.23mm. Its shaped string so the thickness is measured at the thinnest point.
PP. Red Devil 1.24mm stretches & thins out when tensioned.
I prefer thin gauges whenever possible.

I played the white PPCP 1.25mm & 1.20mm. I preferred the 1.20mm as it played a tad softer.
Was wondering why there isn't much discussion about PPCP here. I shortlisted it from reviews on stringforum.
Its really an excellent string but I use it as a hybrid as mains. Really nice lively feel. Soft yet has decent power.

interesting .
Maybe because its the most expensive Pros Pro poly? Why did nt you try Cyber power 1.25 fullbed and at a few kilos less tension, because 1.20 seems a bit thin for your big racquet? And did you try the newer Cyclone power?
So now that i have contributed to your discussion..

Yes I have played with Concept 1.22mm and found it too low powered for my game. Prefer Cyber Power for the spin and power at the same 50lbs tension. Agree with you that Concept has good durability.

When shortlisting strings, a minority view was Cyber Power was not arm friendly. So I used it as hybrid from the get go.
I'm not much of string breaker so I have always gravitated to thin strings due to the livelier feel.
Might try the PPCP in fullbed at some point but looking to just enjoy the game after a long test period.
I have not tried the Cyclone Power. Prefer to wait for more reviews to come in.
Actually PPCP is not the most expensive poly. Its the "Made in Japan" PP RX-500. Only sold on the PP website.

Anyone have a problem with Stratagem 8 (1.25) breaking prematurely? I'm breaking it on the machine.
Have never had this problem with any other string except cheap gut on occasion.

FWIW, I replaced grommets after the first incident, has happened three times since. Had to go a different route
(again, with no issues).

I've used a reel of this a while back (2017, 2018) and strung them using my Neos 1500 + Wise. Never had any stringing issues or premature breakage in play. But I strung low at avg 48 lbs.

I have just bought a reel of cyclone power 1.25 and will be stringing shortly. Until now I've been stringing hitec multifibre mains and luxilon element crosses but will give the cyclone power a go as a cross. will update

First hour played with Eruption 1.24 in my modified Pure Strike Teams at 50lbs strung on a CP machine.

Same tension as I have had before with both Solinco Hyper G and Signum X-perience.
Remember that impressions are highly subjective, so don't be sure that my impressions will be like any one else experience in other frames.

But for me this string, to my surprise played very similar to Hyper G. A bit closer Hyper G than Signum X-perience, at least in this frame. I did not feel that I had to adjust anything really, which I usually experience when I switch strings.
Maybe it plays a tad softer and powerful than Hyper G at this same tension. It was comfortable and had great bite, spin, and felt quite forgiving.

I have played a lot of Pro's Pro strings (8-10 different), and this one is for sure the one I have liked the most at first hit. But the question is how well it would hold up within the next few hours in comparison.
So I will have to come back to that later.

That's always the problem with Pro's Pro strings.....
Let us know.

Partly, but I think some options holds as well as much more expensive ones.
Cyclone Power I think started to play very different after 1-2 hours for me.
But some other options like Cyber Power and Concept I think keeps playability pretty good.

But at the price point I don't have exactly the same requirements, and I can restring more often.
Sorry that I cannot give a proper update, since I struggle with bad back problems at the moment making me not able to play as much as usual. Have been limited to 1 hour a week, and even that seems too much, back is really bad today. :/

I played the second hour yesterday and the strings felt as good as the first time. But now I have to rest for a longer while before playing again.
So I will not be able to update you in a while.

At this point though, even If they hold up a bit less than Hyper G and X-perience I would still consider switching to it, since I have played well, and not needed any adjustments really. Hyper G and X-perience gave me around 10 hours before they started to loose playability for me. But I am not much of a string breaker, so I restring before that point mostly.

I think pro's pro solution can not be considered without knowing if we have a stringing machine or not. I see for example the case of my brother, he plays 6.0, and a luxilon alu power that breaks in 4 hours for about $ 20, passing to concept, or cyberpower, ($ 25 the reel or $ 40 the reel, it happens to play at least 1 h 30 with the concept or 2h with the cyberpower, as he breaks very often the gain is not useless, as he plays about 15 hours a week it comes to him at $ 20 a week playing with cyberpower instead of spend over $ 50 playing luxilon, and playing with cyberpower gets almost the same game.

Agree to that. Of course it matters, since stringing services also costs when you are not doing it yourself.

A lot of factors do matter also like the level of player, type of player, type of string pattern in the racquet etc. so it is highly subjective when it comes to string experience and durability.

So I don't expect everyones experience of Eruption above to be the same as mine when more have tried them. And everyone will report different as usual. :)

I've played with Cyclone Power now for about 8 hrs., split between 2 Angell TC97's @ 54lbs. I really like the string and so far have no complaints. It is easy to string too.

Also, I strung and played with Lethal 5 for about 4 hours. Only gripe with this string, as with all shaped strings, is they require a little bit more time to string. This one is good as it accentuates topspin and is good for heavy balls. Of the 2 Pro's Pro strings I've tried, I'll continue to buy them as they're a great deal. Comes out to under $3.00 for a full bed.

Looking to try some of their other offerings in the future.

Hi
I have plenty of Pro's Pro Concept 1.22mm left which I use as main @53 and some Pro's Pro Red Devil 1.24mm, but about to run out of it. [1-2 racquet]
I tried @55 x @53, but did not like it. So stuck with @53 for both.

I would like to add some power to the hybrid with Concept 1.22mm as main.

Concept 1.22mm and Red Devil 1.24mm gave me plenty of play without any pain over the last 2 years.
I never brake PP strings like i used to with much more expensive ones
[Luxilun and Signum -better. They used to hurt my arm badly]

I generate plenty of top spin naturally, therefore a tad of power would be welcome.
I am using a 100in and 16x19 racquet.

Any ideas of what I could try?

Thanks

so I had I go with Cyclone Power 1.30mm at 48 lbs yesterday. I am convinced that this string is nothing like Signum Pro Firestorm. If I have to drop the tension another 4-6 lbs to play like another string then they are not similar strings...It's still good string ..control and spin are good.. the power and ball pocketing of Firestorm is not there unfortunately...so if anyone wants to buy reel of it.. please DM me..

I have tried it too and whilst I wouldn't go as far as saying it's world's apart from firestorm it does seems a bit stiffer/less flexible. Overall I found it more or less comparable but I used it as a cross only

Well if you tried going lower and didn’t like it, maybe put syn gut or a multi in the crosses.

Would stringing @50 instead of @53 make a difference?

And which PP string multi would recommend with the Concept?

I would say 50lbs would make a difference. I don’t have any experience with pros pro multis but I have used the sun gut quite a bit and it’s good but may be too firm for what you’re looking for.

How does the Plus Power play in comparison to the Cyclone Power, if you've tried Cyclone?

Plus Power is an excellent string in some racquets. I tried a full bed in my Aerogel 200, MuscleWeave 200G, and Biomimetic 200 racquets. In the MW and the Bio it felt very muted and dead, even a little dirty. But in the AG the M-fil elements on the sides of the hoop filtered out the dirty feel and even most of the muted and dead feels. It felt very, very good in the AG200. @51 I had the feeling that I was clobbering the ball, especially on serves. But it is an orange, plasticy feeling string. Cyclone Power is more of a silver color and will probably feel more like Big Hitter Silver or Cyber Flash.

At what tension?

Keep @53 or lower @50?

I think I have enough for two racquets of Red Devil, before buying some more or changing for something else.
Sorry you must try yourself. Concept is stiffer so strung little bit lower and no more then 23kg i think for 1.28. Maybe 1.22 is bit softer. I only know red devil is supposed to be softer so maybe string 1 to 2 kg tighter.

I cut out PP Cyclone Power after about 12 hours to get fresh strings in my rackets. I noticed that the strings, once cut, barely moved away from each other. Is this due to the string now being dead and needing replacement?

I'm really looking forward to trying Eruption, as its characteristics are great compared to some other name brands, such as low tension loss, high ball to string friction and low string to string friction. Thoughts on Eruption?

I posted this in the 93p strings thread aswell, but I recently ordered a prince phantom 93p, I used strategem 8 and synthetic gut from pro's pros at 20/21kg, felt way too boardy.

Everyone in that thread swears upon using 18 gauge strings in the racquet, so I was looking through a few thinner pro's pros strings, these were some options that came to mind.
Does anyone have experience with these strings (in thinner gauge or regular).

Pro's Pros Hex-Power (1.18mm) https://www.prospro-tennis.nl/tenni...d/pros-pro-hex-power-200-m.-tennissnaar/1532/ (also the green would look amazing in this racquet) [...]
I tried Hex Power in that gauge. It's actually nothing special. :p By that, I mean it didn't do anything particularly bad or well for me at least. It felt rather average: not very stiff or soft, not very muted or crisp, adequate spin and control without feeling dead. I was surprised at how average it is. I think it's a fine string.

Depends on what u hybrid the Red Devil with. My own experience, Red Devil is too soft and stretchy as cross when I hybrid with black out main. My racket became deformed. Cross is 2 lbs lower than main.

I have no racket deformation when I use cyberpower as cross.

Are you located in the US? The US distributor offers single sets for $7.70. Search on Google.

7 hours now in my Pure Strikes with Pro's Pro Eruption. It is still holding up and still plays well for me. Snapback is better than with Hyper G at this point. Maybe it does not have as sharp edges as Hyper G.
So for me it does seem to do as well as Hyper G in durability. And I am very happy with how it plays. So in my opinion I highly recommend to try it!

I bought several reels of Pro's pro strings for my recently installed stringing shop. This is to have a cheaper option for clients.
This thread is great to talk about Pro's Pro strings!
For now, all I can say that clients are pretty satisfied with Red Devil 1.24 (17). I have tested as well on my Wilson PS and found them very good in terms of control. They even deliver the ball with good power and quite confortable for a poly string.
Also easy to string, The string stretches quite a bit. It would be nice to understand which could be an ideal lbs range for this string. But then I have a client that used 42 lbs, and anothe at 50lbs, and both quite satisfied.
I also used Red Devil as mains (verticals) on a multifilament bed (horizontal) with very satisfying results.

my experience, kinda obvious I guess?!?, 16g pp.red devil does not stretch as much as the 17g or thinner offerings, and still feels good,,
the pp.polys are feel good polys, they do stretch, but most are very good for the $5 price tag
the pp.synthetics are pretty good, no bad surprices imo/ime
the pp.multis are a let down,, especially since now we have other cheaper "slightly better", alternatives out there, bear the $5-$8 price range

my advise, when buying cheaper stuff,, always test yourself with a single pack, before you comit to a reel
good luck with your future testing
