Yeah, I posted some on my IG last week and had to take them down. Didn't know info wasn't out yet.
Thats why you give them to a friend you don't follow to post on their IG. No trail back to you, you dont get in trouble.

Just make sure nothing in the picture can be used to identify you of course

lol. Well, that was my mistake posting it but I figured the specs sheets and materials were already out. I hadn't even looked, so all on me. Normally if I am allowed to see stuff or demo early SOMEONE tells mei it can't be shown or such, and I am all good with that. Certainly NOT trying to get anyone in trouble (y)

I have hit new 16x19 for 3 hours, for sure the clash technology in. Love the serve, and spin, depth comes easily, very soft, I guess still under 60. But, I don't like the feel, feel a little disconnected, and inconsistent string bed.
Love the look btw.

Nice man. I have a feeling the way to go with the Blade is the 18x20 pattern. It should solve the inconsistency of the string bed and give you more of a connected feel.

Denser pattern, lower tension is where it's at.

Blade has that perfect density in the hitting zone but progressively opens at the edges.

the 16x19 blade is still a fairly dense pattern

It’s tough to choose one for me. I used the 18x20 and gravitate towards that. I remember the 16x19 didn’t really do much for me, but it was years ago.

The deciding factor may be the softness. The 18x20 will provide a lot more ball feel, especially since to so many people say that the clash tech robs frames of ball feel.

yeah im a little worried it will feel even more rubbery and disconnected than the countervail version.

If it's anything like the clash, get ready for some power hotspots in the stringbed.

All the more reason to go 18x20, moderate tension, to gain some consistency.

Why are there so many rookies in this thread who have tried the new Blade? And all their reviews are basically one liners?

I dont think everything is a conspiracy. For example, Ryan has 124 posts. Thats a decent amount of effort just to pop in and say he kind of liked the new Blade but didn’t love it.

Yeah the Blade for me was always an 18x20 frame, but it seems like a decent amount of people like the 16x19. The thing about the 18x20 version is you can string it low and it hits a real heavy ball. I probably would not as interested if it was not so soft now. A soft frame that plays like a stiff player tweener is intriguing.

Thanks, it's not formal review, just my 2 cents. You can tell if sth is a good fit from first sec, such as test driving a car. I like the feel of Tec 315 Ltd, Angell K7, Vcore Pro 97, CX200 tour, Pacific Tour Pro 97, as well as old prestiges. I haven't got such feel of new blade 16x19. I used to hit with 18x20 CV, and I would say 18x20 CV is doing better for me, hopefully new 18x20 could give me better feel. Just a reference and I don't know if I would spend more time on this new 16x19.

Appreciate the feedback since I like the feel of the same frames you do. I would imagine the new Blade has more power than those, or no?

From the shop, I got blade strung with Wilson revolve pro @52lb, while my Tec, CX200 tour are normally strung with hybrid with multi on main, poly on cross, mid 40s, and I weighed them up with lead tape..I would say blade is with easier access to spin, power maybe a little bit more, but since I miss the feel as well as the pop, I am not swinging 100% confidently, and I don't feel it brings extra power. One thing I feel the little bit more power is serve, I serves good with blade.

I wish Wilson just release a ultra tour with leather grip and 16x19 pattern...It will sell well....
funny, the 16x19 thing was what i thought immediately after i posted that. its really my only issue with the frame, otherwise i just add some lead at 3 and 9.

There were lots of people who liked CV Blade. There is no way they will like spaghetti clash blade.

I didn’t find enough difference in the CV model to update from my 2015 Blade. The new Blade plays very different from the. Lash with the same tech. Feels VERY solid and forgiving at the same time.

What’s the power level like? And did you use the 18x20?

Clash technology with a thinner beam would be more interesting.

I think its pretty clear that people who used these frames were asked not to share details or pictures until release date. The fact that they are holding up to their end of the deal is fine by me. It was stated multiple times by ChaelAZ that he could not share much yet.

For us racquet-holics, it gives us something to look forward to in August. In the meantime, gonna get a Gravity Pro to hold me over until the Blade is released in August. I just hoped they keep the list price the same as the CV and not try to jack the price to $249 list.

Yeah looking forward to it. 2015 was best version for me. 18x20. No cv and a new material we shall see. A lot of blade users like the gravity pro so far.
