He can definitely hit the ball and is a good mover. The Stanimal match has firmly established that.
Hopefully he reviews the match and sees that the solution to his problems against a player like Stan does not lie in moar powaaah. You keep feeding him 75-90mph groundstrokes in the slot and you're gonna pay for your sins Jannik.

Apparently Jannik Sinner is going to focus on the upcoming Asian swing at ATP level where a wildcard or two for the main singles draw would mean he wouldn't have to go through qualifying. He had entered this week's Challenger on home soil in Genoa but then withdrew for some reason.

As a child of the Tyrolean Mountains, he learned the game playing indoors 9/10 months a year, so he naturally feels most comfortable with a roof over his head. No surprise that his big breakthrough came in Bergamo's Palazzetto. Now it's time to take it up another notch and make a serious push for the Top Hundy.
In other news, the always-sinful Italian federation has awarded Gianni its wild card for the NextGen ATP Finals. Woulda been nice to qualify on his own merits (he still could) but hey... we'll take it!

My exact reaction when I first saw him last winter as he won the Bergamo Challenger as an unknown WC. “Where does he get that power???” was the question I kept asking.
