My mind got lost and I thought Martin Tyler said Don Hutchison was playing for Newcastle. It didn't even surprise me to think that was possible. Oops. Sorry, Newcastle.

If PSG can't win the Champions League in 2 seasons then yeah.

"What do you mean we can't just buy the trophy itself?!"

Chelsea now have the Champions League position. I know City have been on fire but gotta say Chelsea have been on fire as well. Might not be the same attractive style yet. Winning is winning. Yeah, look at me go all Dom on ya. Fast and Furious style. :p

We will see ya soon.

Atletico, United and Everton will tell us everything.

It's either going to be a case of things not being right still, and the better quality opposition will expose that. Or the step up in class will be something they rise to and be what makes things click.

Right now I don't think they're playing that well and have been getting away with it. Sink or swim time!

I didn’t thought Tuchel was the problem , but so far , It hasn’t been a bad decision , I’m excited to see what Poch can do. Also i think sacking managers after 2 seasons if they don’t win us the CL isn’t unreasonable

2 years is a pretty stringent deadline for the biggest trophy in the sport though. So Poch should go too if they don't get it in 2 years? It's not very likely he will get it either in such a small timeframe.

I think that's reasonable, yeah. PSG always have one of the best squads in the competition, it's not like the manager is developing players or it takes years to adapt to a new system.

It feels like PSG need Mourinho of 15 years ago. Kind of like what he did with Inter, who had been dominating domestically but couldn't get it done in Europe.

I think it's reasonable too, but at the same time I think the tactics and lineup from Tuchel was on point in last years final. He can't control or account for Neymar and Mbappe missing sitters left and right or shooting it right at Neuer. Definitely don't think he as a manager could have put them in any better of a position to beat Bayern last year. The players lost that one.

Exactly lol. Poch to win UCL in 2 years? Might as well be looking for the new manager already then.

Maybe time for Goldbridge as manager.
haha Just imagine they get it done this season though. I'd have to say fair play, Mr Poch. :p I see he was getting credit for making a change that Ole didn't back when we played PSG and Fred got the red card.

''With Idrissa Gueye walking the disciplinary tightrope after being shown a yellow card in the 20th minute, Pochettino, not wanting to risk going down to 10-men, took the midfielder off at half-time.''

Damn it, Ole.

I like Poch but am highly skeptical of their chances this year. Maybe next year after spending another billion or so. If they couldn't beat Bayern in a one leg final I'm scared to think of the damage that would be inflicted upon them if they met before a final.

''Kyle Walker not playing much at the minute.'' I guess that helps explain a few things. haha Can remember he was one of Roy Keane's targets. Looks like he was spot on.

Betting on a guy that has not won anything to win the champion league in 2 years. Sounds like a good plan, Jeff. Not.
It’s all a gamble , wouldn’t you agree? 2 time UCL winner , considered by many the best manager in the world couldn’t take good Bayern sides to a final and good City sides to a semifinal. Bayern was the defending champion when he took over and City reached the semis. Meanwhile Zidane with no experience wins 3 CL in a row:-D. We had a very experienced manager in Ancelotti , His first loss was acceptable , but the next year against Chelsea , I can’t say the same( Although I don’t remember anything) , Those PSG sides weren’t very good , but enough for a semi that year. He leaves and wins the CL with Real in his 1st season lol

Current winner Flick was only an assistant manager for club level back in 2006 with Salzburg and then 8 years for the NT. Comes to Bayern and win the CL in 1 and a half season. There was also Mourinho turning Porto into CL winners by his 2nd season.Villas boas taking over Chelsea, leaving in march only for their caretaker Di Matteo win the CL

True. Hypothetically , Let’s say PSG scores two screams towards the end and keep Bayern from scoring. Tuchel would have been called a “genius” “god” “legend” for us. But that didn’t happened , He was going to be here 1 more season , but the team was plagued with injuries and falling behind and he fell out of favor with the board

He might get another season if he does well and gets along with the board

Right on. (y)

Are you feeling nervous at all about the second match with Barcelona?

Not yet. Because the squad is looking good , The schedule isn’t rough , 3 matches with 4-5 days in between. I might worry if key players start getting injured , We should’ve Di Maria back soon. It’s hard to see this team losing 4-0 and we have a long streak scoring at least 1 at home , but PSG never ceases to amaze me

Goidbridge giving Kovacic some props. I thought he looked sweet the other night. (y)

Yeah, can't beat a well manicured roast potato.

Kovacic has been very good, indeed. He took a little while to adapt in his first season, then was player of the season last year and doing well again this time round.

He's first choice in that deeper midfield spot, the question is who plays next to him? Kante offers the legs but is a liability in possession, whilst Jorginho is excellent in possession but moves like a cruise liner.

Suprised by United's convincing result away to Sociedad.

Yeah where was this offense against West Brom, Sheffield United, etc. So annoying. Never expected to win the league but United made it the gulf it is all on their own constantly dropping points to sides a lot worse than Real Sociedad.

Super stuff against Sociedad. I was thinking oh dear at the beginning when Bailly slipped up. Then he ends up getting an assist. Wowzers. Our friend Ricky at United Stand was all about the James performance. Great advantage heading into the second match. What pleased me most was seeing Diallo get some minutes. (y)

What are your thoughts about the match? Looks like you're still in there.

Red Star is getting eliminated. They got the draw in the last minute which gives them some hope, but they're just not good enough.

Jose felt the Moyes. Happy to see United won. I didn't watch it. I made and understand the choice, Oracle. Had to see the Ronnie vs Brown final. It was sweet.

Rangers still dominating. Milan looks like they're fading away. Inter the dominate force.

Still a while away but the plan is to get football fans back in on May 17th. Klopp be like, I want them now,

I wonder how things are going to work out with TV. Fans back in the stadium is great, but it means we'll go back to your team only being on TV every 2-3-4 weeks. Are fans going to accept that after a year of having every game available?

In a world where you can consume TV and sport on all kinds of platforms, at any time, when you want it... I'm not sure if the 3pm kick offs being unavailable will be acceptable any more.

I'm guessing it will be to take what you're given and like it. The people don't have the power. :p
