Well, it was bound to happen eventually.

Kaka signs for Real Madrid on a 94.6 million dollar (54 million pounds?), and inks a 6-year deal.

Expected, but absolutely massive news nonetheless.

Wonder what's to come from the old White House this summer. David Villa? Ronaldo? Who is next?

I'm going for Ribery, could be Villa though!

Ronaldo will probably sign too, but I think the others will be brought in before.

Villa is ours! Madrid better keep their hands off of him, he'll be wearing Chelsea Blue next season!

oh btw,all chelsea fans have you seen anceloti the actor??

I have! Very funny :)

Villa is ours! Madrid better keep their hands off of him, he'll be wearing Chelsea Blue next season!

I'm not so sure, he seems to like it in Spain so Madrid or Barcelona looks likely.

Ribery has said the English weather is too similar to the German climate and he wants a bit of sun, so it's probably only a matter of time before he moves too :)

I think the best big name we can hope for is Aguero, Pato or Tevez.

Man Utd accept 80 million for Ronaldo for Real Madrid they already have Kaka and Ribery and Villa are supossed to be on there way aswell.

Villa
Ronaldo Kaka Ribery

Thats an incredible strikeforce.

Man Real are going nuts. Does anybody else think that buying so many star players is gonna mess up the team chemistry...?

Galacticos II is happening, Perez still fails to realise they haven't got a defence.

Also, lol at the photo on BBC Sport's homepage.

Yeah because Barca won with their amazing defence and world class goalie right? I told you they would get Kaka and Ronaldo. They'll also get Villa and Silva too.

I doubt it, they won before doing all this. Besides, they didn't really have team chemistry before these signings.

So what? They got beat down bad in that game, but Barca last year didn't even finish in second place, fans called for Joan Laporta's head, everyone wanted Eto'o out instead of Ronaldinho and Frank Rijkaard was fired. Did you forget all that?

If you told me they were going to recover and win the treble after the disaster last year I would have checked your forehead for the lobotomy scar. Point is, teams with prestige and money can recover in a heartbeat over the off season. With the resources and the history of RM they can more than pull it off.

BTW, RM won La Liga 2 years in a row before Barca won it this year. So apparently they weren't stinking it up like you say. Barca had a classic year, but to simply dismiss Madrid as if they were Valencia or Villarreal is ludicrous.

That 6-2 game is a serious bitter pill to swallow, but Madrid will bounce from that next season in a massive way. If anything that will only fire them up and stack up a bigger and stronger team. All I have to say is, get ready to see Villa, Ribery, Alonso, Kaka and Ronaldo there next year. If not all, a good percentage. I predict either Manuel Pellegrini or Michael Laudrup will head the team next season.

Just to remind everyone I wrote this on May 29th. We're almost all there. They'll get Silva too.

You're forgetting that when Calderon first became president he brought in Capello, someone who knows how to assemble a balanced team.

I'd take a back four of Puyol, Abidal, Alves and Milito over a back four of Marcelo, Pepe, Metzelder and Ramos any day of the week.

I told you they would get Kaka and Ronaldo. They'll also get Villa and Silva too.

They might, and they'll still have no team chemistry and won't win sh*t.

I doubt it, they won before doing all this. Besides, they didn't really have team chemistry before these signings.

They had team chemistry the last two seasons they won La Liga. Did they have any chemistry this season? I don't think so. The egos that will populate the Bernabeau week-in-week-out is absolutely mind-blowing.

Just to remind everyone I wrote this on May 29th. We're almost all there. They'll get Silva too.

And all that money spent will still drive fans away from Real Madrid. Spain still has the highest unemployment % in the European Union, remember that. When a club spends over 200 million bucks just to buy the registration of two players, you know something's f*cked up. Perez doesn't know what reality is anymore. He will realize it when Barcelona stomps all over Real Madrid (again) in the League next year.

Florentino > Ferguson.

Wait, can you back up that with stats? I can make a valid argument as to why you're an absolute winner-picking moron using logic that proves that Ferguson is the best manager in the world.

Looks live Villa is the next one to arrive.

An English club put in a higher bid than Madrid, but it was rejected as they are already in the closing stages of negotiations.

La Liga next year is going to be pretty interesting!

True, I actually waiting to see how this new galatico team go against prob one of the team of this decade Barca. However I've got this feeling RM would fail again if they don't sign someone like Makelele

I think Lassana Diarra is probably up to it.

His nickname at Chelsea was "Mini Maka" afterall, they also have Gago who I think will be vital. He gets his hands dirty yet he has great quality to link up to the forwards.

I'm guessing those two will form the base which will allow for 4 of the out-and-out attackers which looks like being Ronaldo, Kaka, Villa and Ribery maybe?

I'm not too sure about Diarra, however Gago imo is rubbish. He doesn't stamp his authority onto the midfield. I don't think they have the defensive depth especially since I doubt the attackers would ever track back considering how spoilt they will be.

I'd actually take Man U's back four, but they got schooled in the CL final, so I guess that meant nothing when up against a ridiculous offense.

They might, and they'll still have no team chemistry and won't win sh*t. .

Riiiight. They won't win ****, you know that isn't happening. Go look in their trophy cabinet, I mean building.

They had team chemistry the last two seasons they won La Liga. Did they have any chemistry this season? I don't think so. The egos that will populate the Bernabeau week-in-week-out is absolutely mind-blowing..

Like egos never populated ANY football field? Madrid lost because of Schuster losing it and get this? INJURIES! Van Nistelrooy, Mamadou Diarra, De La Red, Robben, Sneijder, etc. Given the slump they had in October-November they still pushed behind Barca and had to wait until May to eliminate a team they were clearly better than. Now with this team Barca will have their hands full. No doubt and you can scream and whine about it all you want. That's sports kiddo!

And all that money spent will still drive fans away from Real Madrid. Spain still has the highest unemployment % in the European Union, remember that. Oh you mean unemployment only refers to Spain as opposed to ALL other nations inculding the US? These sorts of things have been going on in ALL major sports. How is spending 200 million ****ed up? Madrid make the most money around the world have the largest fan base around the world. What they're doing now is no different than 10 yrs ago when they signed R.Carlos, Zidane, Beckham, Figo, Ronaldo, etc. In the end, the money they spent on those guys which seemed astronomical at the time turned out to be some of the cheapest over time. Barca stomping on Madrid next year? Madrid losing fans? As they tour the US this summer go see if nobody shows up and much less with no Real Madrid jerseys on their backs. Don't COUNT ON IT!

Wait, can you back up that with stats? I can make a valid argument as to why you're an absolute winner-picking moron using logic that proves that Ferguson is the best manager in the world.
You mean people who like Man U aren't winner picking morons too?

You sound like a rabid Madrid hater with your stupid rant. I'm from Spain and have my parents in Madrid (my aunts live in Barcelona and my uncles live in Galicia), along with having almost all my time in Madrid when in Spain. So I've been a fan since the Butragueno and Zamorano days. And what Madrid is doing is nothing truly shocking. They've done this 10 years ago. Big clubs always getting the better players and always winning because they have more money to spend? Nothing new there. Real Madrid can afford to spend the money it has because it is financially better off than other big clubs. Nothing outrageous about that. Go cry in your milk and watch them start winning AGAIN and collect title #32 and Champions League title #10. Go suck on that!

Thank you for your concern. I've been saying this all day too! It's a huge worry, I'm not sure what to do. We're in deep trouble now. Again...I thank you for your concern.

The best defense is offense. Ask Barça how they did it with only a defensive midfielder. If you control the ball for long periods of time you don't need an ultra defensive midfield. We will be fine with Lass/Gago controlling the middle of the field. I guess not every team is like Chelsea right? :-D

Actually they don't. Man United does. They make the most money, but that's due to them be able to negotiate their own tv deal while the Premier league gets collective deals. Also it does help when the Royal family as well as the state government and local financial institutions wipe out your debt every few years.

Boy you'll just come up with anything to run down Madrid. Because they couldn't possibly have enough money right? Stop crying about our team and ask Abramovich or whoever your team is to poney up some money so that you can buy any players that we decide we don't want.

I don't know why i bother repeating myself, but here goes. We will get defenders in our own good time. The attack and attacking midfield has been well and truly sorted, we have plenty of DM's to go round, we only need a RB or CB and we are good to go. And don't even get me started on our keeper.

PS, we'll get Albiol soon enough at the back so don't worry about our defense. Lose 6-2? No prob, we'll win 7-6 next time. Muhahaha!

I have ignored it the first times but now I have to ask. Where have you gotten the idea that the Royal family helps RM? Is it the name that confuses you?

I don't have concrete proof where I can just give you a source, but it's well known that the royal family makes "generous" donations and favours to the club. I haven't heard just from premier league fans, but also fans from Asia, europe and Australia too. Again you can claim that its all bollocks, but that's alright. I can accept that.

The royal family have a budget of 8 million euros per year. Even if they made donations (which they don't, because the information of their financial activities is public) it would mean nothing for Real Madrid. You must check your information before you post

I guess people here never heard of ticket sales, sponsors, television, revenue and worldwide following. It's all a conspiracy by the PSOE (socialist gov't headed by a Barca fan in Zapatero) to make Madrid succeed again. You know...because before this season they were 2 time defending liga champs.

The government bailed them out a few years ago giving them something like 200 mil tax free for their training grounds.

The training grounds were in the most important street of Madrid. I don't think you'd give 32 acres in the middle of Madrid for free. The government has bailed out all the big clubs in Spain, obviously the bigger get the most, and that includes your beloved Barcelona. Enough with the hatred, don't be childish.

Nah, in all Di Stefano played for three different nations, and the guy you must be thinking of is the Hungarian Kubala who was a refugee from his homeland anyway.

Franco saw the popularity of football and decided he needed a team that could display the regime's power.

Spoken like a true Fergie fan. This whole thing is overblown and stupid, Franco gave money to Barcelona too for your information. BTW, Madrid didn't hit their dynasty until well after Franco was in power, like 20 years after the Civil War. Before that Athletic Bilbao had 6 while FCB had 6 and Madrid with 4. Madrid hit an era in the 60's and 70's where they were simply the best, kinda like Man U since 1992. Just deal with it and your life will be better. All this jealousy, excuses and bitterness is getting old.

Steady on Morrissey, I haven't gone punching walls over any of this.

I haven't either, actually I'm enjoying how you and Nicky can't hide how it bothers you that RM have bought the best players. BTW, Barca have offered Villa 50m. How dare he want to spend money? :) Where's he getting the money?

To take a page from your book.

PS, not only the EPL can get the best players, Spain can play hardball too.

Yeah but we are far in the lead. We've just agreed compensation, and don't forget he was/is a latics legend when he played for us.
