Hi,

Please no hating. We all know what Rafa is going for here, so I won't go into that.

I just want to know that those who are NOT fans of Rafa, would you like to see The Rafa Slam, IF your player went out?

I am sure we are all tennis fans here, and from a tennis standpoint, would you like to see it?

No I won't. Most people would say I don't want to see it because it would question Fed's status as GOAT, and this is BS, because:
1) I don't consider Fed GOAT.
2)I won't ruin any of Fed's achievements.

I don't want to see it happen because I don't respect Nadal as a person. He's done too many things I can't respect.

No, I root for other players, and I can think of at least 20 I'd rather see win. Nadal's great athlete and I respect him but never appreciated his tennis and probably never will.

You've got to be joking. Hating is the only thing that brings half of the people around here to this board with their "I don't like this player bla bla" attitudes, all while posting in x player related threads, *****ing about him. They hate player x, yet they can't stop watching or commenting.

Hate makes TW run.

I don't want to see him get it this easily by not having beaten Federer in any of those finals last year. It would be more legitimate, however, if he beats Fed this time. I know it's not his fault that Federer failed to show up in all those finals, but I can't help thinking that luck would play a big role in the Rafa slam if he again defeats Djokovic or some no-slam winner in the final.

I want Murray to win. If that doesn't happen, I'd like to see Rafa make some history. That would be cool.

I really don't get this. Rafa doesn't have to beat Roger in a slam final in order for his slam win to be 'legitimate' and vice versa (which is handy for Roger, otherwise very few of his would be legit ;) )

I don't have a favorite player, so my rooting interest varies. I guess this AO I'm rooting for Murray, but it would be cool to see Nadal do it. Everyone appreciates greatness.

I'm not a Rafa fan, but if my favorite went out, I would like to see Rafa win it.

Just because you are not a Rafa fan, does not mean that you don't want to witness history IF it happens. I've never seen Laver play in my lifetime, so I never got see a player hold all four.

As a tennis fan, I would like to see it.

I don't understand why not being a Rafa fan, automatically makes you a hater of his.

Watson: If he beats everyone fair and squarely, then yes. That said, I'd still like to see Murray win his first and even Roger increase his tally.

If my player goes out I want the Djoker to win with Murray being a very distant 3rd on my list.

I guess you could put Rafa about even with Roddick for me on how much I want him to win the AO.

LOL

Seriously, my first choice is obviously Teh Master. If not, I'd like Teh Prince to complete his four in a row. Both would be great.

I want Roger to be around for another few years, and a win here would give him motivation.

I'm sick of him winning grand slams. I don't even want to see him in the final; watching him play just..bothers me somehow.

No I want to see him retire from an career ending injury. No more classless Ralph to watch, listen to.

If it wasn't for the inevitable gloating from extreme fanboys, I don't think I'd mind.

That said, I'd rather Murray or Federer won it anyway.

I like Nadal, in that I respect that he is the top player in the world.
That said, I cannot watch him play. I have tried watching him play, but 5 minutes is all I can handle. I do not like his style of play, and find it terribly boring. I do not like that his between point ritual is so lengthy.
Given the above, I always hope Nadal does not make the final of a major...not because I 'hate' Nadal, but because I want to watch the final!

I have to agree with you. I like Nadal but he's going to be around for a long time and no doubt will win a lot more slams. One more for Roger would make me very happy.:)

I actually think Nadal is a decent guy from what I see\read. However, I dont like his style of play and I dont want to see it "catch on" for years to come... if he never won a slam again I'd be quite happy.

I'd much rather Nadal do it than Federer. Although I want Roddick to win and Murray would be my second choice, I'd still want Nadal to win the AO rather than El Swiss.

BTW, where does the "nickname" Ralph come from?
