Considering the fact that Nishikori is Japanese, the crowd has been very respectful from what I've seen. There's no shouting out between Raonic's 1st and 2nd serves or other U.S. Open/RG-like nonsense.

Kei's level has dropped dramatically after the first 3 games. Maybe some part of his body is hurting a bit since he was seeing his trainer. Lots of unforced errors.

Why doesn't this guy Raonic play like this in the Majors ? If he had done so, he would have won all 4 majors this year and won the grand slam.

actually this match is not his best atm.
slower serves, more errors than yesterday, slower footwork..

A lot of these things are because of ground game. Nishikori has some of the best movement and FH. Naturally he'd have good numbers on ROS. But seemingly, a lot of that is because of ROS as well.

Nishikori has Rao off balance in a way that Murray could not manage consistently yesterday. Raonic having a lot of trouble squaring away his footing, leading to inability to hit out at the ball and be aggressive. Without that aggression like he displayed against Murray, he's a much easier mark for a quick and clever player like Nishikori.

Wow, that was a quick turnaround from what has been a virtual stalemate so far. Completely different complexion on the match now.

Still, Raonic lacking the constant push forward in the court that he had yesterday which gave Murray so much trouble.

Hopefully a quality third set coming up.

Wow, Kei really playing great. I like how he is being more aggressive it seems now and taking it to Raonic. Bummer for Raonic, would have been a big title. But Kei getting the big win in Tokyo is pretty cool too.
