Kei demonstrating some negative body language and I'm sure Nole can see it and sense it.

It was 90 degrees in my area so I imagine that it's really hot out on the court. Both these guys look like the heat is bothering them.

Of course, I start watching the match and Nishikori gets broken like a wimp.

Cya guys!

Lemme guess: a lot of fedfanboys want to see Nishikori win only beacuse they don't want to see the #1 seed face the #2 seed in the finals of a Grand Slam tournament, which would make for a better match?

So it really isn't about the tennis….

Nish and Novak are like carbon copies in some ways.
What is up with Ace of Hearts? He loves to bully people in threads that are not Fed threads. It is hilarious. LOL

not really…

Nole's strokes are far loser and broader, allows for more improvisation when needed.

Nishikori's are much more compact and consistently reproducible.

not even close, Paire is more like a baby Nole than Nishikori is...

I don't see it. Paire has a better backhand than forehand but his forehand is bad for a pro's standard. Grip looks rather conservative and he doesn't do much offensively with it. Reminds me more of Murray with his forehand technique. Nishikori is a lot more similar to Djokovic.

Have you noticed like I just did that there is a mega Fedal Battle going on this thread it is epic LOL.

As maximagq has said that Novak fans are the most objective and intelligent fans of the world (and Maximagq leading the pack ), we don't indulge in such childish things. ;)

He is totally done. He has to do something with his body. I can't belive that after having 2 complete days to rest his body only handled 1 set of play.

What a shame, this could have been a thriller match.

The more I observe it your prob right. Not sure about Paire tho. But there definitely are similarities.

It is. This match sucks now, Nishikori is spraying errors left and right.

Yeah agree. Paire's forehand is terrible. It was hard to watch at this years open.

That's it folks! Novak in 4 sets!

Kei looks finished.

Might as well hand the US Open trophy now as Fed or Cillic have absolutely no chance of beating Novak!

Agreed, we stick to the main point. Good tennis from our hero and from all the other pro players in general.

Nishikori is fine, he tanked the set towards the end there. We'll see a real dogfight in the third

Interesting. Looks like Nishikori has come down from the clouds. I don't think he's tired, but rather some negative body language from the lack of execution.

Nishikori seems to bounce back pretty quickly (evidenced by Wawrinka match) so the third should be better.

Realistically this looks over in another two sets but that is what i thought when Nishi was in the middle of his 5 setters with Wawa and Raonic........
...But of course this is Djoker we are talking about and Nishi must be feeling the two previous matches on his legs now...

Nole is able to control the rallies while barely moving now from the centre of the baseline ala Agassi.

WHAT a rally and FH winner from Kei!
