Stringing instructions are at the end of each product page’s description.
thank you but I've read that those instructions for 16x19 are wrong. they say to tie off both mains and crosses at 6H which is impossible, isn't it?

Sorry, don‘t know then - I think somewhere in this thread someone explained how to do it.

What racquet is it for then if the stringing instruction on the Blade Pro 16x19 page is incorrect (ie. not for for purpose for BP 16x19)?
Would that be for the retail Blade V7 16x19 then?

I don't know but I'm assuming that 2 knots on the same 6H hole is quite nonsense

Hit again with my 18x20. With the SW being 350 it felt very head heavy. I added some lead on the grip and it was a game changer. Considering making it my racquet of choice instead of my Pure Strike VS Tours with a 342 SW.

My second 18x20 BP arrived today. It was a good day.

weight: 307g (unstrung)
bal: 327mm

Getting strung with Hyper G at 53lbs. Hope to hit with it on Wednesday night.

Strung my first BP with Triax at 56. Ok, but a bit mushy feeling to me, hence the full bed poly this round. We’ll see. Ordered Confidential to try in this one for the next round and compare to the Hyper G.

How could you tie off both mains and crosses at 6H when 2-pieces stringing?

Surprised to hear that some thought that the BP 16x19 has less power than the Retail Blade v7.... I’m guessing this may be the case for weaker players that don’t have enough racket head speed?? From what I’ve gathered from this thread is that the BP is the more powerful racket by far, puzzling.

Mine will be coming in tomorrow and I’ll probably sting it up with RS Lyon 52 Lbs so I can make a fair comparison.

i ordered 8 of these just to find some matching to start from as a base. 3 came in at 310g, 1 at 308g, 2 at 311g, 2 at 312g. I planned to keep 3 so glad i was able to get 3 at the 310g spec and will start the customizing from there.

Good god no, the BP power is certainly easier and a much bigger ball.

The only time mine felt under powered was when I added a leather grip which shifted the balance too much in the racquet. Once I took that off and put a normal grip back on the power returned.

I'm thinking of getting the Blade Pro. I've played with the Blade 2015 18x20 for a few years, and I'm really happy with it. But I'm tempted to try this Pro version.

Any opinions if I should go for the 18x20 or maybe try the 16x19? Sometimes I think I need a little more spin, to get more height, spin and length on my groundstrokes, but I also like the precision that an 18x20 provides. I play a one-handed backhand.

Looking at the original H22s, it appears that the head shape is rounder than retail Blades, and thus even a 16x19 has a more dense pattern in the pro stock version.

To those of you who bought the new Pro Labs version, did you just go for the same string pattern as your previous Blades? (assuming you were playing the Blade before)

I demod a Blade recently. I don’t think this BP plays or feels much like a Blade.
if you’re used to an 18/20, I’d say stick with the 18/20 BP. I’m used to 18/20 racquets now and didn’t like the 16/19 BP as much.

The 16x19 of the BP is more open than that of the traditional Blade, so going from an 18x20 to the BP 16x19 might be a bit much? But if you want more spin anyways then it's worth thinking about.

Don't have access to RDC or SW, but here are the static weights and balance numbers off 4 racquets. Including the plastic + piece of paper. I was told the plastic + piece of paper is about 2.5-3.0g and I assume this would move the balance about 0.15-0.20cm.

The 4 static weights (including the plastic/paper) are 311g, 308g, 310g, and 310g -- excluding the plastic/paper, my best guess is 308g, 305g, 307g, and 307g.

2 of the racquets had a balance point of 31.75cm and the other 2 racquets had a balance point of 32.05cm -- excluding the plastic/paper, my best guess is 31.95cm and 32.25cm, respectively.

This compares to specs of 305g and 32.50cm.

Without plastic/paper at 305g - getting strung by the weekend and will report back (comparing to UP 16x19)

Deciding between a NG/poly hybrid or full poly - any BP (16x19) or H22 (16x19) users with feedback on these setups? Thanks in advance

My blade pros 16x19 are here
Strung with 4G: weight 325gm,
Stock grip, L2, balance point roughly 34 cm;
Will have measurements done soon, but swing weight may be around 335 or so;

when played with Slinger machine it felt very smooth but was connected to the ball; could feel flex: it played better compared to 2015 blade or the new V7 ones.

will post more details in few days

Writing here after my second play with Blade Pro, but played with a partner instead of Slinger;

Writing here after my second test with Blade Pro 16x19, today played with a partner instead of Slinger.

I played in the stock form (325gm strung weight with Wilson Pro overgrip). I must say a super sweet racket to hit with and the memory lasts rather long even after the session ; Every shot I hit had the super flexy feeling and a very comfortable feeling; sweet spot is higher as indicated by ofher, but felt stable if you completely follow the stroke. The moment I tried to put in bit too much, ball would fly longer, I think that is probably due to my game level, but over the course of practice I could figure out how to control the ball; generates ample spin, nice slices, good single handed backhand if you prepare well and was very good for defensive forehand and backhand slices. It reminded me of RF97a in a way but in a very comfortable frame: I haven’t hit serves or volleys with it today but I will very soon: I used Luxilon 4G;

I played several sets Of doubles with the 18/20 BP today. I didn’t just hit with and switch to my other racquets or start with my other racquets and try this one for a bit. I started with it and stuck with it for 2 sets.

This is a very demanding racquet, even more so than my usual UT 18/20. I attribute most of this due to the SW being higher on the BP. But the BP has way more potential if you can wield it. My serves are better, I hit a heavier, deeper ball with It on baseline rallies. The backhand slice doesn’t float on me. My OHBH is easier to drive. I have never played with a more stable frame. You can just stab at balls and they get blocked back so easily. I can see why so many pros like using it.

seeing quite a few blade pro 16x19 being listed on the FS section, I guess a lot of people are having trouble gelling with it, or not liking how it plays...

I mean... I saw two BP 16x19 and one BP 18x20 being sold.
I wouldn't call that quite a few but to each his own.
Pulled the trigger on a BP 16x19, so some time next week, I hope, I'll be playing with it.
I'll also write a review after playing with it a bit. Currently using DR98+ and RF97.

Played with a full bed of poly tour strike and was really liking this at 50lbs in my BP 16x19. Threw in a gut/poly hybrid (champions choice) at 55/52 and have now not hit well in my last two sessions, strange. I normally love gut/poly. This racquet now feels really firm and very powerful of a sudden. I will persist with the hybrid, but this really is far more challenging to use than full poly. Probably too soon for anyone to have tried both in their BP yet? Interested in others thoughts on this.

I played with a regular blade 18x20 (older and the new V7) and Blade Pro 16x19. I say you can easily switch to Blade Pro 16x19, to me the spin potential is slightly better than the 18x20, but definitely lower than regular blade 16x19 (with same style of swing, better players of-course can generate spin ). But it has more precision/control, depth and a great feeling. But if you are really happy with your 18x20 why switch and buy a new one? I am not discouraging you, but you may want to demo it from Wilson, they are offering demo for $25 upfront and you get all back when you return.

I assume Blade Pro 16m has slightly higher launch angle compared to Blade V7 16m?

How could you tie off both mains and crosses at 6H when 2-pieces stringing?

From the pictures I've seen, the Blade Pro 16x19 main tie off's are actually at 8H. Cross tie-off is at 5H (start cross is 7H) with final tie off at 6T.

BP 16x19 came in at 311 with plastic ;( upset but not surprised at all. Still ripped off the plastic, because I’m dying to hit with it haha. So it’s now at 308.4 unstrung which is fine, going to string it up with RS Lyon 52 LBS and get a hit sesh in with a couple of d1 players later!

I’ve been quite surprise how stable the BP 16x19 in stock form compared to my customized Blade 98 V7. Does anyone else play with their BP in stock form? All I did was add a bigger butt and Tourna over grip. The sound the BP makes is amazing!!! That alone is addictive.

Haven’t actually hit with it yet, as some of mine came today. 332 strung with ALU and an overgrip. 33cm balance, so it was a little low on that. The unstrung one is 310 and 32.7 with the plastic still on it. Feel in hand off the stringer was “woah, this is a lot of stick.” Which leads me to think I’ll like it. I may be adding some weight under the trap door to get my preferred balance in the future, but it’s probably ready to play as-is for me. Measuring swingweight later today on these two, but I’d guess the strung one is mid-330s or higher.

I have mine as mainly stock and it is very stable. It doesn't really need weight added to the hoop, unlike the H19s.

Same frame, and playing mine stock (plenty of pop and stability) except I had to put a lot of weight at the handle and at the butt to get the balance more HL. It was practically even balanced when strung up and with stock grip.

First hit with the BP 16x19, stock w/ a Wilson overgrip RS Lyon 52 LBS and wow this is definitely a special racket. Feels super solid, without feeling club-like or unmaneuverable in any way. The feel is unlike anything I've ever used, I would say it feels like a 63-63 RA strung but it almost feels muted but very connected at the same time, dunno if that makes sense... serves had great pop and I've never felt more confident in my kick serve. I will say that it hits a heavy ball, but I definitely encountered the power level was maybe a tad high at times for my liking. Maybe, the 18x20 would be better in that regard, but I felt that it would've been a bit too demanding. Volleys were excellent in my opinion and I really don't have any complaints other than the power level at times. Good news is the sweet spot is nice and I definitely didn't encounter a launchy stringed, just a tad high launch angle maybe? I think a less powerful poly at like 55 lbs would fit perfectly but I will continue to try it as is. Keep in mind my spec unstrung without a grip was 308g, so this is my experience with that spec.

I bought two of these today in the 16X19. I'd be curious if it's a solid as my RF97 in a lighter package. Been playing a lot with the H19 16X19's later and they are all at 12.0 ounces which is a reprieve from my 12.7 RF97's. I've heard so many state previously that the H22 has more power and is way more stable than the RF97. Sadly, i have a H22 in my garage but didnt want to venture into racquet confusion again because i didn't want to have to buy another one if I loved it..............................an alas i bought two of these Blade Pros today. Of course with Next Day shipping. Ouch!!

In my opinion it is not as solid as RF97A, but it is not bad as one would think given its weight, very stable for its weight in stock form, but has the similarities in ground strokes to RF97A. But blade pro has the flexible feeling and comfort.

I had the same feeling, in stock it played amazing. Way better than V7 16M, once dialed in this racket is just great!
