Haase takes it. into the fifth we go.
The app says that's suspended aswell?Sock and Haase managing to play til now.
SDL Sock train getting derailed!Haase takes it. into the fifth we go.
Haase hate on this board is not understandable...his slump had a lot to do with injuries. When healthy, he has played great tennis, particularly on the dirt. Or mud, as is the case today.
Done for the day, boo
He preceded that loss with nice tennis in Kitzbuhel (title) and Winston Salem (SF loss to Benneteau in 3, 6-3 6-7 6-7). At that point, he seemed ready to take the next step into top 20 but his best only got him to #33 a year later in '12.Always loved Haase's style. His match against Murray at USO was memorable .
Hope he can beat sock here
Agents from the French Tennis Mafia (Babolat/Tecnifibre) have been dispatched to your door for action with extreme prejudice! It's May. It's RG. It's my annual turn to rant at this f******g ancient garbage tournament.
My opinion is that they should strip it of it's slam status and elevate one of the masters that actually has 21st century facilities and performance. I would not be in the slightest bit upset if these monkeys lost the right to host a slam.
My local sports centre, a £100k complex funded by the council and the local community charges approx. £2.50 for an hour of cricket nets, £10 for the football 5-a-side pitch and about £3 for the tennis. Even they have floodlights. So if a local sports club can afford to, what excuse does a multi million pound global tournament like RG have? All the slams have problems with weather/wind/heat etc but all of them cope reasonably well. AO by far and away are the best.

@TheMusicLover offered some nice insight. Much appreciated!
He sounds like many tennis players in general, especially those that never had a tough coach specializing in taking the trash out of the garbage bin between the student's ears.Hey Tom, it wasn't exactly the most 'friendly' comment I ever made on a resident Dutch player, now was it?
Problem is most of my countrymen feel like that about Haase. Should he manage to make a dent in this RG 2016, be sure 99% of opinions would become a lot more positive!

5 is still too much@vive le beau jeu ! likes your post. For taking away RG's slam status and leaving Ralph with just 5 slams
Windy conditions?
Great post. No roof no lights looks like hell. It's May. It's RG. It's my annual turn to rant at this f******g ancient garbage tournament.

Only eurosnobs rate this tournament higher than other slams. It looks like a garbage dump. Rome looks a million percent better. Hell madrid looks better than this crap hole. Ugly cement stands, they cant put up lights. Looks like the place has been carpet bombed. If they had a roof, nole would probs have at least 2 RGs by now. Typical French, useless

There is not enough bad things that can be said about this tournament. Except the fans of this garbage dump like the tradition. For gods sake wimbledon and wrigley field have put up lights. Im surprised they have electicity at all. It looks like an old rodeo arena.I mean the amount of matches that had to be completed the next day because of no light left or rain is beyond a joke. Plus the fact they have no Hawkeye is just taking the biscuit too.
I'll agree but something about Paris and Roland Garros' history gives that place character. You can't say that the US Open is any nicer.Only eurosnobs rate this tournament higher than other slams. The us open is a thousand percent nicer. Its not even close. There isnt a tournament on tour that has facilites like this. Maybe columbia or someplaceI'll agree but something about Paris and Roland Garros' history gives that place character. You can't say that the US Open is any nicer.

At least I get to see taped matches on NBC for the next little while. Nick taking the first set TB was my first glimpse. Sad that I'll hear JMac on the commentary though.
Hourly forecast for Monday shows rain/light rain all day from around 4am until 9pm.
Constant droning, usually about irrelevancies. When it's Carillo and Robinson in the booth with him, they serve up some idea that he then takes off on for some length while play is progressing, barely allowing for any punctuation of good or bad shots going on in the match.I like Johnny Mac. What do you not like about his commentary?
